There is some serious psychological stuff going on here that goes back to his childhood.
He is basically a good person with a fine firearms knowledge but there are loyalties that were developed in his past that require some finesse and time to obsolve.
He is a good man that has been implanted with a poison seed. Something that was done to him or his family which should have been a good experience is clouding his judgement.
Could be a good thing like membership in an agency that has gone astray. A good man belongs to something and develops a strong attachment than is met with huge cognitive dissonance when it is found what was supposed to be "good and positive" is discovered to be "evil and destructive".
Perhaps as a child he was a beneficiary of something meant to be helpful but based on a misunderstanding of communication here now believes some of the more harsh rhetoric applies to him.
My family at one time considered public assistance in order to make it through tough times and that is what the service is for. In fact I think it shameful that our country does not ensure the people of Appalachia or the people on the Crow Reservation of Montana are not taken better care of while an illegal person comes here and gets treated better.
My own parents grew up in the maritimes of Canada on islands that had a history of creating Cajuns in New Orleans by killing them on their little islands of Prince Edward and Cape Breton knowing the future would mean they would have to deal with the shit Quebec creates. Im a product of immigration but know my parents were made to do it legally.
So go easy on Bang Bang he has good qualities (loyalty) if totally misdirected and false in his aim.
Sadly what he believes in his efforts go totally against.
He will need our acceptance when he comes to the light and realizes he has lived a nightmare. I just hope he does it prior to committing the crimes the Communists require to fully absorb a member into their cult.
