oh and For the bipod it looks like a RRS rail/pic rail mount. I wonder if the bipod has atlas bolt spacing for different mounts?
Higher range of height adjustment, pan, better attachment options, lighter, come with tilt lock standard, avoid complete PITA foot changes.. you know, all the BS people pay the price of 3 Harris bipods to modify 1.
Any firm release date other than just giving a season and year?
I am in. I assume that the mlock version ould require a wrench to install?
If they have the option for the RRS/ARCA attachment I will likely give one a whirl.

How do you figure? I saw 11oz for the Magpul. My lightest harris is 13 before the podloc.
Definitely negligible, but for those of us who prefer lighter bipods, it is nice to have the weight in our favor. The features and setup of the bipod look really good to me, the lighter weight is just icing. I'm really looking forward to trying one out, especially since I can't be trusted to use a harris it seems. :-(
Of course, I like the way the heavier bipods handle recoil, like the Elite Iron and the RPS. Design more than weight, no doubt, but heavy nonetheless.
Don't get me wrong the bipod looks interesting i wouldn't jump on one until i got behind it. I was hoping it would be a good bit lighter than the bipods we're used to, though i'm not sure if that's entirely possible to get down to 5-6oz and retain good strength and rigidity for a reasonable price at least.
Yeah, I know. :-( I have seriously thought about getting a Neopod from time to time, but I just don't see it as full featured enough to justify. If I'm really trying to save weight, like on a backpack hunt, I just skip the bipod altogether.
An ACRA attachment would be awesome.
I just bought one. I am gonna just add a RRS BTC-Pro or one of the new area 419 ARCALOCK Clamps.
I have a Pic rail version on order from Optics Planet (6/30) and just got a email today saying they were going out to retail ,so I hope by next week I can finally check it out and compare it to my Harris.
I ordered a pair of M-lok versions today for my boys’ 10/22s in magpul stocks direct from magpul after the email. I’m certain they’re at least 10/22 worthy haha. I’ll give my impressions v. Atlas, the only bipods I currently use when they arrive.
I figure worst comes to worst I get a Atlas Cant and Lock and swap the clamps over and use the magpul on an AR.

Do these have a warranty? I have seen metal bipods break and would like to know if this is covered.
I'm fascinated by them, but I guess I just don't think a bipod is very important for hunting. Do you shoot it regularly in practice? I can't see doing that, so again, not sure what it really brings to the table. Still and all, I'm fascinated.
It looks like BTC-Pro Clamp. They got a ADM 170s so it should bolt right up.

Not everybody is a fanboy. After years using nothing but Atlas, I'm figuring out that Harris bipods actually have some undeniable advantages for me, and that a few simple cheap hacks make them as easy to load as an Atlas.
I know that doesn't apply to everyone
I guess my point in a nutshell is I can't see it being a total dud. Magpul hate them or love them are too clever. I personally like my vltor stocks not Magpul. I like my tango grips not Magpul but they are like Glocks almost. If a new shooter asks what should I buy I always say what I like and I know other say magpul.. it's easy lol
Most say a Glock 19.. I don't I say a CZ..
So maybe I'm the exception but you kinda can't go wrong with Magpul in the same way you can't go wrong with a Glock 19 lol

I'm really interested to see how these do. I robbed my atlas from my 18" AR for my new 6.5c RPR, and need something to replace it. I've been waiting to replace it until these came out.
Got hands on with one today. Feels like it’ll hold up to reasonable use, probably wouldn’t take it to war. But it’s not too shabby, locks up pretty solid, the cant is easy to control with the large knob underneath.
For the price point this looks like a great option. Considering most mlok or keymod bipod rail mounts cost around $25... Standard harris bipod has no swivel and they are $60. So your $85 into it with a basic harris unit with the bipod rail mount and you have no swivel option. I will be ordering one at this price point.
Just received my Magpul yesterday. For the price it's a player IMO.
Only deploys to 90* which could be a downside for some, tension knob functions well and looks to be a decent barricade stop, rigidity is better than expected, leg adjustment is simple one-handed with positive detents.

Curious why it wont work for you, or what you didn't like about it. Seems like a light piece for sure.
It’s very light, but I just didn’t enjoy it after running Atlas’s and an evolution. If they had make it able to be locked at 45, it would have been a winner. Doesn’t lock at 45 though.

New ARCALOCK adapter from Area 419 works on the arms mount bipod.
If you need to qd off pic rails and have no need for the arca then go arms qd like comes on an atlas. but if you want arca and pic rail compatibility go RRS atlas adapter.
I have no idea what the ARMS adapter is, But in general, LaRue QRs bite into the pic rails causing wear and it isn't the best for precision rifles when it comes to repositioning scope mounts. So using the same type of QR anywhere else isn't going to be something I want to do.
That said, I think a lot of people looking at the buzz RRS is getting for their QR bipod mounts, might be missing why you want something like it.
For most of us, it NOT for the ease of removing your bipod to share on another gun, nor to fit in your case. The popularity of these is because with almost no time loss, you can reposition the bipod and go from a long footprint to something small enough to shoot off a barrel or roof top, in most cases even before the bi-pod hits the hard surface between a position change. Try to do that with a pic rail QR.. Now put some time pressure on and you might get it off the pic rail, but not back on in the time of some stages and still get your shots off.

I'd love to hear some real use feedback. I want to know if the Magpul is a real contender, or if I should just cut the shit and buy a Atlas.
I used mine for a little bench work and some basic testing. Overall I don't regret it, one note is that it is not the absolute tightest lockup like a harris with a PODLOCK. Will mess with it a bit to see if I can adjust it a bit to be a bit tighter.
They seem to be of decenty quality. One thing I noticed is that if you want to take advantage of the feature they built in to allow you to load it when deployed, the legs have to be stowed forward toward the muzzle. Sometimes I'd rather have them stowed rearward toward the action but overall, well worth $100 in my opinion.
