Locking down the Mexican border and stopping the invasion in general is more important, and getting rid of the ones we have here already. Sure, it'd shut down all non-licensed construction jobs like drywall, painting, worker, etc., and you wouldn't be able to find one until Americans dusted their shit off and finally went back to work doing drywall, or painting, or whatever it was they used to do before the Mexicans showed up to do it for less than minimum wage.

Oh, I do know one thing that would work. IF they really were serious. they'd offer rewards where if you caught illegals and turned 'em in at a jobsite anonymously, the employer gets to pay you the reward as part of the fine for hiring illegals (which will make it cheaper to just employ Americans). I think there is something to be said for this. There are huge tracts of private land on the border, especially in TX. Some of this would have to be appropriated to build the walk. No need for a wall with a vigilant militia. Not only more cost effective but friendlier on the environment.

"At the President's direction, I spoke to President Hernandez of Honduras. He told me that the caravan that is now making its way through Mexico, headed for the southern border, was organized by leftist organizations and financed by Venezuela," Pence revealed. "People that are driving this caravan north to challenge our sovereignty, to challenge our borders, are doing so without any regard for human life and doing advance some political statement, or in the case of human traffickers, strictly for financial profit. The president is absolutely determined to use all means at his disposal to organize efforts to have Mexico turn this caravan around."
Earlier this year Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro accused the United States and the CIA of trying to assassinate him.
Vice President Pence also addressed questions from reporters about President Trump's claims middle easterners are traveling in the caravan.
"It is inconceivable that there would not be individuals from the Middle East as a part of this growing caravan. What the President is determined to do is put the safety and security of the American people first, and I know the President will be addressing this in the coming days about ways we need to close the loopholes that human traffickers and other dangerous individuals used to entice vulnerable families to make the long and dangerous trek north," Pence continued.
During a press briefing at the State Department Tuesday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the caravan will not be allowed to enter the United States should it make it to the southern border.
"The United States also has a message for those who are currently part of this caravan, or any caravan which follows: You will not be successful at getting in to the United States illegally," Pompeo said. "The migrant caravan is violating Mexico's sovereignty laws and immigration procedures. The President will not stand for this to happen to the United States."

Seriously speaking - a core function of a Government and principle reason why free people give up a portion of their rights to the Government, is b/c Government is responsible for National Defense.
Those are primarily military aged males, unaccompanied by wives and children, and carrying the flag of their own nation while marching here and demanding something from each and everyone of us as individuals. At minimum, they intend to take what the Government takes from the citizen by force and then redistributes per the dictates of Government.
Entry into the US - any portion, is a FAILURE of the Government and breach of compact between free people and the Government.

It needs to be attended to as such. If the mexicans are escorting them to our border, fuck mexico and fuck the 'caravan'. We have zero obligation to either of you; we don't have to do anything as we can also just do nothing and let you all sit on the mexican side of the border until you get the point, die of hunger/thirst or the mexicans get sick of you.
Also leads the question of cutting off financial aid to mexico and whatever shithole the wanna be illegals are coming from. We shouldn't be sending anyone anything anyways. Yes it’s a freaking mess! The thing is, as you mentioned, don’t let them pass. Hell if it were me, I’d invade 20 miles into Mexico and stop them there. If Mexico bitches about it, claim it’s their fault for letting it happen. If we have to invade them temporarily to protect our own border I’m fine with that. If Mexico wants to bitch a whole lot, I’d have no problem going toe to toe with them. We need to protect our sovereignty.
