They are closing the gap. Doesn’t look good right now guys. Too close for comfort. Oh and people in Texas are stupid, that is all.

Why are people in TX stupid? The lesbian Hispanic lost the governor race. Rat faced, asshole, communist Beto lost. Is it because the Cruz race was close? That should have been expected due to immigration into TX, increase in minority population and Beto rushing college campuses.

Yes, I’m basing that statement purely off the fact that the Cruz/Beto race was so close.

The amount of out of state money that the Communist senate candidate here in Texas spent was staggering.
They really thought they could buy the election.
My phone was beeping off the hook all day the past week from random numbers urging me to go vote for the Communist.
Even their usual voter fraud attempts ramped up to the max didn't guarantee them a win.

I reported as spam (lol) and deleted 5 texts begging me to vote blue as well. How the hell is that suppose to happen? And in Washington. Frick'n Cucks.

Like I said earlier, the wires must be frozen and the snow in the air is preventing the digital signals from getting through, I guess. The 'local' news media just isn't showing us those results, yet.

I can appreciate your perspective but that is a gross over simplification of the race. As W54 stated the amount of money from outside of TX for Beto was staggering. That rat faced bastard drones on and on about not taking money from PACs BUT the cock sucker never once discussed how much out of state cash he did get. TX was the target for the the Communist party and flipping it would have been their crowned jewel. Cruz winning is not a testament to Cruz, rather it is a statement about freedom loving, self sufficient, free thinking Texans. Those Texans had to overcome the increase in immigrant and minority population and out of state money.

You realize that mental illness can be treated right? Maybe ask the Koch brothers for some help getting your addled mind gerrymandered.

Well sir, I do hope that in the future that Texans can continue the good fight and continue to be freedom loving Americans for us all. It’s an important state for sure. I am afraid that as narrow as it was tonight that we are only a few short times away from losing Texas. And, we will one day. If my memory serves me correctly, most of the people that vote blue outbreed those that vote red. Maybe they are taking a page from the Islamist playbook in that regard. If that is truly the case then the red will slowly dwindle away until it fades completely. Let’s hope not but I fear that may be the case. Perhaps we should be doing our best to educate the younger people we are in contact with instead of patting ourselves on our backs among our own peers.

I’m astonished that Montana might go blue. That’s some serious shit right there.

Yeah, that makes you wonder doesn’t it? I never thought I’d see that happen, but then again, I never thought I’d see such a tight race in Texas either. As someone else said tho, doesn’t really matter about tonight to be honest because no matter what happens most politicians will continue to do what they already do, nothing.

WTF are you talking about? Do you have any idea about the race here in TX or are you just babbling?

The notion that Super PAC dark money is some strategy brought to bear by "the commie leftists" is fucking precious. Know your history before you take your place in the sycophant parade.

Your comments mirror my same concerns and add to that the number of people moving to TX from CA and the northeast it makes it even worse. The idiots from coasts leave the shitholes they lived in and bring their screwed up politics with them, ruining everywhere they live. Both coasts are a malignant cancer.

The less they do the better off we are.

What is up with people and their damn polls?

Anyone that looked at my thread about Xi knew what was gonna happen today. I watched the polls though, you know, the real time ones that have you on the edge of your seat, "It's neck and neck, Tom, I can't say for sure WHO is gonna take the gold tonight! You got that Canadian nipping on the heels of that communist fuck, CAN HE DO IT? Let's see what our viewers have to say." -- "Oh shit! Tom, I don't think he can do it! He's down 160k votes right from the get go." -- <Main point here> "Well, thanks for calling in, viewer! I know! It may be a blue wave after all! We'll know more after this commercial break."

My main point is those polls are infotainment and places where all ideas are tolerated to the point of absurdity and everyone has something in common are the best venues for having an accurate understanding of all sides. People like @truth and BBBB are numerous but not the majority of voters anymore. The commies were able to successfully demotivate the bulk of society in years passed because they had a tremendous amount of control over information. Today, they still have a vast amount of control, but they can't always use it because they'll lose capital -- and lose even more control.

Saying things and having to account for the things you say and do is integral to the development of a civilization.

As some old guy said one time (to paraphrase), "You cannot stop an idea whose time has come"

Refugees from Commiefornia. They're a disease infecting the Rockies.

I think this is their strategy. They are moving to red states all over the country and changing the outcome of local elections. Whether this is purposely done or not I don’t know but it is interesting. Either way, we lost the house so nothing will be done for the next two years. Trump won’t be able to do anything now and then they will say he was an awful president because he couldn’t do anything. Should have done more when the right controlled it all. More importantly, nothing about indictments or these hearings will ever see the light of day now.

All you need to know to be convinced Americans are stupid is that Wasserman Schlutz won her race. I live on an Island of stupid people called Broward County. They are so weak that they changed the names of three streets one of which I live on. Why because the Names Forest, Hood and Lee became emotionally crippling to the weak.

If a street sign cripples you emotionally you are in Darwin's sights. Its hard for me to respect people who are that weak. The truth is only 1% were crippled but they were the right color, very loud and the politics favored them.

Either way, America lost. Trump will go down as not being able to get anything done the next two years and the dems will capitalize on it and then it’s over.

RIP America 1776-2018

It is not NEARLY that bad. The Senate is still republican and that means that Trumps trade deals and court overhaul will still continue. Most of Trumps policies will continue. This is still set up to replace RBG.

One thing the we, by we I mean conservatives, are awful at is the Long game. Since the Demokrats flipped the House this sets them up for a lot of problems. They have a Pelosi problem. They have an internal issue with old Demokrats not letting the younger people have positions of power. If they spend their time trying to impeach Trump rather than legislate tht will hurt their party in 2020.

It is not uncommon for the Congress to be split based on the party the POTUS belongs to.

Also, the governors of Ohio, Iowa, Florida and New Hampshire are ALL republican. That is very important for 2020.

Focus on the long game.

I appreciate your enthusiasm, but I don’t hold the same optimism that you do. To me this just means we are going to have more of the same that we have been having which in large part means taxation without representation. I mean sure, Trump has got some things done, but for the most part I see government as a whole ineffective beast. So, what will happen is the Republicans will sit around now and claim thrhbcant do anything because of the lefties in the house, then nothing will be done and in two years we will have another election where we will give up or gain something yet not have enough control to get things done still and the blame game will go on and on and on. The American people will suffer here until more and more people wake up to the fact that this is a game.

What has big gov done for most of you in the past 30 years? Forget about what Trump has done, but before that, what have they done? I look around and see healthcare becoming a mess, more and more money being taken and abused, corruption running rampant, basically no borders, a failing infrastructure and on and on. Frankly, most of what was done for us has been done for a long time. The only upside to this is that the economy is doing better and we might get to pick yet another ussc, all other things could have been accomplished without big gov oversight being such a burden on freedom loving people. Government was supposed to be limited in its scope yet it just keeps growing and growing and growing while being all the more ineffective at doing anything. And the crazy thing is, I bet most of you think I’m probably some bitter old dude, but I’m not. I’m actually a fairly young guy and all I see is a bleak future for America. My kids will not know the America that I did and that really bothers me.

No different from how it has been going the past 2 years.

Think of it this way, for 2 years the Republicans had literally ALL the power, they had the presidency, the house and the senate and could push through anything they wanted.... What did they do? Turn their backs on EVERYTHING they promised for 6 years to do including all their vaunted shambolic votes to repeal Obamacare

Once they had the power, what did they do?
NOTHING

They spent their entire time basically acting as good as Democrats trying to blockade Trump.
He was at least able to out smart them by shaming them into passing his tax cut / obamacare cutoff / budget bill.

So who cares about the house anymore, they are worse than useless.

As the way it goes now, the only really important prize is the Senate so that judges can be picked on party lines.
It's the only game that is really important now that congress has totally abdicated all their duties so we now fight everything in the courts instead.
So now we have 6 years in which to hopefully get 1 or 2 more decent Justices in and as many other federal judges as possible.

If Trump does nothing else but that for the rest of his 6 years in office, it will have been a better blow for the cause of freedom and liberty than anything in recent history.

All your points are good, and in my opinion spot on. I believe that Trump's election only pushed back the inevitable, which is the collapse of our democracy (republic for the sticklers). Historically democracies have lasted around 200 years before they evolve (more aptly devolve) into another form of government. Luckily ours has lasted a little longer than that. All of these "evolutions" have followed similar paths: growing societal wealth but an increasing gap between the haves and have nots, more people dependent on government support, increase in taxes to pay for that social safety net and eventually you become socialist or communist. The sad thing is that with all of the historical data on this cycle here we are running headfirst into the abyss.
