Might as well throw in Eagle Eye optics while you are at it.
All jokes aside, I like March scopes. They have their weaknesses, but also their strengths and for some applications they are very worthwhile.

I had an 18x IOR and the glass was very nice. BUT...... and a big BUT! IOR sucks for customer service. My 18x only got twelve mils of elevation as it had some fucked up erector issue. Val or whatever his name is said "well ship it to me and I will check it out ...I guess" very reluctant to help me. As well I had purchased it from Liberty optics and the guy there was reluctant to help and insisted I send it to IOR. It was a shitty thing all around. Maybe things have changed? I would trust Japanese optics over Romanian every day of the week.

I have looked through both march and IOR scopes and ended up buying two marches ,they were not as bulky and provided the conditions are good I can see my 6.5 Creedmore bullet holes on a white or yellow paper target at 350 yards. Both Marches are 2.5x25x52 and 42mm, in the second focal plane., I think Leupold MK4's of which I have two off again are dam near as clear. and my Nightforce NSX's are a very close third, here's the 42mm on my stiller tac 30

It depends on what you want it for.
If it's benchrest shooting then March is well thought of
If it's "tactical" shooting or hunting, get something else entirely.
If you prefer to learn from your own mistakes rather than watch others, get the IOR

I bought my March 3-24×52 specifically for a lighter weight hunting rifle. 24.4oz, FFP, good glass, best glass for cutting glare, low profile turrets, accurate and repeatable adjustments, illuminated reticle, shorter overall length....what is not to like in a hunting scope?
If you like your March scope for hunting, that's excellent & I'm glad you'll enjoy it.
I'll probably suggest that if one was to ask for advice on the forum on what the larger number of people recommend for a scope for that application March would probably not be in the top 3 or 4 of brands most would recommend for that application, but that's not to say it wouldn't work well.
However I don't think this thread is actually a serious asking for help based on who started it and the wording of the question, it's more of a rhetorical fun fest for everyone to throw out their own ideas based on their own preferences.

Serious question: have you ever owned a March scope? Because if you're going to flat not recommend for a certain use then you should have first hand experience to base such a strong recommendation on.

I've owned & used IOR scopes and had friends who also did, my negative opinions on them are based on my first hand experiences.
I think you'll find many others that have had personal negative experiences with them, as well as some who have loved them.
If you have some personal knowledge of the March scopes being a better option for hunting and the "tactical" style target shooting than the usual popular recommendations of S&B, Nightforce, Leupold, Vortex, Bushnell, Burris, TT I'd be very interested in hearing about it as I've not heard much about them being really popular outside the benchrest circles.
What I specifically said applying to March scopes is "If it's "tactical" shooting or hunting, get something else entirely."
If you are a proponent of them, how about letting us know all about them.
You might also try posting a thread and asking people to post what brands of scopes they would choose for hunting and then see how many unsolicited votes you get for March. They are just not talked about as much here or other places I visit / go to as popular hunting scope options.

It seems to me to be uncalled for and a bit out of the blue.
Are March scopes something you own & feel strongly about, or sell or in some other way have a connection with that makes you act reflexively when someone dismisses them as not in the usual running for a given application?
If you do, please by all means go ahead and post all the details. I don't have knowledge of anyone saying great things from experience about March scopes being perfect for applications outside of high magnification benchrest shooting, which those that use them for that application seem to be very happy with them & post threads about them in that role.
If you had no experience with a particular scope brand you should have not made any recommendations either way.

I'm of the opinion you are not actually in the serious running to buy either an IOR or a March scope at this moment and have rather posted this thread to have a bit of fun and see what crazy comments, trash talking and both serious and off the wall suggestions are made regarding your opening gambit. Is this correct?

According to @Primus, I’m too stupid to know anything. So I have no idea about anything rifle related. I shoot my air soft rifles in my moms basement and just lick windows here on the hide.

Never used March, but own three IOR's, I have a 3.5-18 on a custom 308, a 12-52 on a custom 6.5, and a 4.8-30 FFP on a custom 6.5, I just got the new Recon about a month or so ago so I really can't give you much of a discussion on it. But I have owed the other two for years. the 3.5-18 for 6 or 7 years and the terminator for maybe 5 or so years, neither have given me any issues at all. The glass is fantastic, and the elevation is dead on repeatable.
None that I have noticed. I got it sighted in today. then spent a few rounds shooting pennies @ 100yds. Got my 1st match with it Dec. 8th. Very impressed up to this point.
