My precision rifle line up;-Left to right;

Springfield M1A scout, Leupold Mk 8 1.1-8 x 24mm FFP illuminated CQBSS with Horus H-27D reticle, Sadlak Industries M1A Airborne mount, American Defense Recon SL mount, Fulton Armory adjustable cheek piece. This rifle doesn't really qualify for "precision" rifle status, but I get hits out to 700 yards with this configuration, so I count it as a precision gun.

Ruger Precision Rifle in 6mm Creedmoor, Vortex HD AMG 6-24 x 50 30mm scope, EBR-7B FFP moa reticle, moa turrets in a Vortex 30mm AR type mount, and some junk bipod I had laying around. This rifle is a tack driving laser beam, but the ammo is not as easy to come by as I'd like it to be. I really need to buy the dies.

My favorite...Alamo Precision Ranger in 6.5mm Creedmoor, Remington Defense RACs chassis, Nightforce ATACR 7-35 x 56mm F1 with Tremor 3 reticle, MIL turrets, Atlas bipod. This rifle is a wet dream to shoot!

The next one needs no introduction...Barrett M-107 .50BMG, Vortex Razor HD Gen 2 FFP with EBR-2C MOA reticle, MOA turrets, Badger Ordnance 34mm steel USMC SASR rings...This one needs some attention. I have found- the hard way- that the eye relief on the Razor is not sufficient to maintain proper sight picture (without the "shadow" effect) to fire the Hornaday AMAX 750 grain match-a pretty hot round for factory ammo- without getting a brand new scar on the eyebrow...anyone have any suggestions?

Last but not least, when I'm feeling nostalgic, nothing beats my Chiappa 1874 Sharps "down under" rifle! It's just 45-70, but hey...it'll kick you just hard enough for a good nut check, and I can find the ammo everywhere. I am STILL waiting on my back-ordered flip up tSoule tang sights and hooded front sight-the factory provided sights suck right out loud...but when they finally get here, I cannot wait to see what I can do with this thing!

Not pictured is my 16 inch AR15/ACOG, good for 500-600 yards...but you've ll seen a million of them.

I just recently got into Cerakote application...I've painted one rifle thus far and it turned out okay. I'm still getting the technique and equipment dialed in, and once I am there, a few of these guns will be getting a makeover...I'll post that when it happens...good hunting!

Im back behind a KRG chassie. Its a franken chassie compiled of a W3 back end and a X-Ray front end. It still shoots great. Never mind the place holder scope on top.

My first custom action!

Action: Nucleus SH w/ .475 bolt face
Stock: Manners PRS2 with gen 2 mini chassis in scorched earth
Barrel: PVA shouldered button rifled Rock Creek in heavy palma 6.5 creedmoor
Muzzle Brake: Area 419 Hellfire
Scope / Mount: Vortex Razor Gen 2 4.5-27 with ARC high rings
Accessories: SAP 2 round holder, Area 419 RRS accessory rail with Atlas PSR bipod.
Magazine: the 5round Accurate Mag functioned well, I have two 10 rounds on order from ARC

I'm terrible at taking pictures of rifles, here's what I was able to capture at the range last Saturday.

This last picture has my Nucleus next to my Tikka both in 6.5 creedmoor.

Just posted this in the Tikka thread, but figured I’d pimp her out here too.

Tikka T3X action
Elay Precision trigger spring (1.3 lb pull)
26” Prefit Rock Creek barrel (light palma contour) and barrel nut from PVA with black cerakote
Seekins Precision ATC brake
Sako green KRG Bravo
Spigot mount
Atlas/ADM bipod with HHC Talon feet
20 moa scope rail
Vortex Razor HD Gen2 3-18 (ebr-2c)
ARC M10 rings, SV-3 throw lever, Flatline Ops bubble level, SAP 2 rd holder...

She’s a shooter, but will be getting some changes in the near future. Barrel will be chopped to 22” for a handier length while hunting. Gonna add a titanium bolt shroud and handle from Sterk, and eventually swap the Gen2 Razor for the AMG 6-24.

I've had more than a few "precision" rifles over the year. These two are my favorites though.

First is a Tikka T3X CTR in 6.5 Creedmoor set into a Mcmillan A5. Was stupidly accurate. Used it both for fun shooting and even hunting.

Second is a take on an M40A1. Mcmillan HTG stock, custom barrel, etc.

Howa1500
6.5 CM
24 inch Heavy Barrel 8 twist
Custom rattle can paint job
Any scope ideas at or below 1500 bucks?

I'm thinking Sig Tango 6
I've heard a lot of good stuff about the Athlon Ares ETR lately. Enough that I might give it a try next year and mount it on my .300 Win Mag. The price point is within your range so you might want to check it out too. 34mm diameter, the reticle is etched, and it's got plenty of elevation.
