New member in Austin Texas area

Hi all,
Just getting on the board and learning more and more as I am starting from zero. Just picked up a tikka and a Steiner scope. Not much of a hunter but going to take a crack at hogs and expect to shoot under 300 mostly.
A local shooting range is working on a 1,000 yard course. Going to test it out once complete.

The weather is crap. Plus family time. I have been mentally shooting it. Pretty much adult Christmas Story cept old blue is the tikka. When is best of the west completing the long range rifle? I am in Cedar Park.
