I have acquired a .50 cal U.S. Marine Corps Unertel 10x scope. I am asking if there is any Marine out there that has use one and could offer some assistance with its proper use on the Barrett .50 cal. and possibly general recomendations on bullet size and weight too.....

I am also looking for a copy of the User Manual.

That is a Unertl MST-150. Later down the road USO took over production.

Just reference the M40A1 manual. That's about as detailed as you are going to find I believe.

Well, thank you kindly for the information. Its very informative and contains a wealth of information for me. I was told that this scope does not have the USO modification. I wonder if the Corps issued a special Manual for the use of this scope with Barrett .50? Have you shot this type of combination....any insights you can provide.

A huge thank you for your help.

I believe the MST-100 and MST-150 used the same information, the markings were just changed. The MST-150 did have some internal modifications to take the recoil.

I have not used that combination personally. When I shot 50 BMG I had a McMillan TAC-50. AMAX 750's were great out of that rifle, along with some various lathe turned copper solids and such.

Nothing particular to any rifle system really with that optic. Mount it up on whatever rifle you want, zero and enjoy!
