6.5 Saum barrel seems super slow

Barrel is a 24" Proof Carbon Fiber. Freebore is supposedly .120 but I'm not sure.

With 60 grains of H1000 behind a 140ELD-m, I'm getting pressure. speed is just shy of 3000fps. Hornady brass. 2.845 COAL is touching the lands with this chamber. It seems short to be .120 freebore. Anyone care to take a guess on actual freebore with that info???

I haven't used that bullet in the saum. I am at 3030 in my 26" saum using a 140 hybrid and 60.3 grains of h1000. Some reason some people have no problem getting the higher speeds and others get pressure early.

I shoot my 24” barrel saum with 58 g of h1000 and am at 2950 no pressure shoots bug holes.

How many rounds do you have thru the barrel?

just over 100. I expect it to speed up a little, but not to the numbers I've been seeing

Based on bradu and 30 nosler’s results, looks like you’re right where you need to be.
