I am contemplating a change in rifle platforms, and have started looking ahead at chassis options. I've got a Bravo right now , and really think it's the cat's meow. The only, and I mean ONLY thing I'd change about it is a folding stock. Have had a left side folding stock in the past, and really enjoyed the shorter length for portability. Yes, I know it's not that hard to take the bolt out, etc. Not making any claims about this being a 100% practical conversation.

Is the new Magpul chassis the only sub-$1000 option out there with a right side folding stock? With a street price of $800 I might consider it worth the extra money over a Bravo.

MDT ess is another option the forend May push the price depending on material etc. If you find used you can just retrofit the folding stock part. Otherwise you have to go up In Price to cadex/ai. Although if a new option comes up that would be of interest to me as well for a short build. My only issue with magpul is weight. Maybe christensen will eventually bring the mpr chassis at some point.

I use the AIAX chassis and like how it folds to the right and shrouds the bolt on my right hand action when in the case.
So I don't have to take the bolt out when I transport it.

I'm pretty sure the $800 street price is for the non-folding model.

Primary Arms has them at $800 once you add to your cart, and the description states it's a folding stock. Of course, I guess it could be a mistake.

Either a screw up on their part, or they're running it WELL under MAP. The fact that you have to add one to your cart to see the price indicates it's under MAP, but it's a pretty significant difference. Brownells is running the folder for $950, and even then they're hiding the price.
