Who would have the least expensive 300BO pistol?

I’m beginning to look for one. I’m not that interested in building one unless it offers drastic savings. But I’m not opposed to it either... not looking for sub Moa accuracy. Jut a fun little gun I could throw my can on. Last option would be to order least expensive usable lower and chase parts until it’s done.

What say you auto boys? Kinda newb at autos, I have one AR that just sits in my safe. I’m a bolt guy.

Palmetto State Armory. Look at both built and ready to build uppers and lowers. Many options. Likely the cheapest and you can upgrade anywhere you prefer. i.e. trigger, barrel, furniture, etc.

I bought an 11.5 PSA quite a while back. Very nice shooter. Mine doesn’t shoot MOA. It shoots Mil.

Diamondback has one for around $650 I think, the DB15P. Might pay a bit more for a real brace in the end, though. They have a good reputation of backing up their products even though their products aren't cutting edge or overbuilt.

Just above that, Springfield has the Saint pistol in 300BLK, at around $800-900 IIRC. Probably comes with a better brace and a truly mil-spec BCG compared to the DB15.

Figure out what barrel and gas system people are running with your can and then copy that. You'll probably spend more if you buy a cheapo and then have to change things to make it run.

It doesn't necessarily have to be expensive but I kind of doubt PSA is setting up their cheapo uppers for a suppressor.

I was just responding to the question asked. I'd also suggest an adjustable gas block for suppressed. Although running subsonic, which one should do suppressed, would likely not over gas. There's a lot variables with powder and load. But the adjustable gas block is probably best regardless.

This, but one problem going super cheap is you're not only giving up accuracy, you're giving up reliability too. FWIW, Noveske's .300BLK barrels are both accurate and they cycle supers and subs, can or not with an 8.5"bbl. I have two of 'em plus a 10.5 (but haven't fired it, it's actually a numbered collectors rifle I got for the ex wife but I'd suspect it does fine). Then a 16" AAC. I can't really speak for the others, Noveske is just my go-to for SBR barrels, period --I find a good mfg. and just stick with 'em. They just work and I don't like fucking around with adj. gas blocks and shit and usually they're at least 1MOA, maybe better, depending.

You won't find a blaster cheaper than PSA, I don't know how you can make one that cheap, but I've learned it costs less to do it right the first time, especially if you're gonna depend on it at all. If I were you, I'd build it so at least you can pick a barrel and a BCG that you can depend on if nothing else.

I'm the guy that Form 1'd a Mega lower so I built a "cheap" SBR using that and some other decent parts I had laying around:

I guess it's not really that cheap but I wasn't able to build one shorter that's more reliable. It's around 21" I think, not too heavy but it is heavier than it looks IMO; that stock ain't that light and neither is the carbon fiber tube despite being carbon fiber (it's thick as fuck) but I really like the triangular shape on this one (I'd probably use these tubes more often if they didn't require special sights or top rail to make level). 5" TBAC Ultra doesn't add all that much to it either. The irons are fast and cheap and all that's really necessary for this. Now you could go cheaper with a different stock and handguard and a Brownells/Geissele trigger (the best trigger out there for the price when they're 35% off) but I had these laying around. The BCG is milspec, nothing fancy.

This short a barrel is much more conducive to the .300BLK than 5.56 too. Better performance all around. I always liked the LaFrance M16K for a shorty, this is pretty close and in a better caliber.

I like the Noveske stuff too. I have two. Was looking at their 300 blk. uppers.

I can tell you that the PSA stuff is good to go. Especially the parts. i.e. BCGs etc.

I disassemble all my BCGs when they arrive and clean and inspect them.

I did some comparison a few years ago and it would difficult to tell them apart without knowing which one was which. I know there's more to it than can be seen with the naked eye but I believe most BCGs come out of the same factories w/ some customers requiring more QC on more BCGs to guarantee quality parts. So, the parts are the same, it's the QC that makes the difference and cost. I've yet to have a BCG fail on me. Of any variety or 'brand'.

So, based on my research, PSA sells quality components at a ridiculous price. They have "better" too. Just costs more. I like and believe in "you get what you pay for" about 60% of the time. The other 40% is you paying the cost of marketing on 'the same' item. ARs are not 1911's. They are simple and generally work. Most OEM parts come from the same machine shops. There's a HUGE market for boutique parts for ARs and I think that muddies the waters quite a bit with a lot of solutions looking for problems that really don't exist.

Just my humble opinion. Take it for what you paid for it. ?
