Thanks for the tag and it looks like there could be a couple things going on here:
1 - the tip of the fist round is catching under the feed ramp and causing it to snag (although under live fire this could happen to any of the subsequent rounds as they shift under recoil).
2 - the magazine latch in the chassis is too low, causing the first round to crash into the bottom of the feed ramp (although you'd most likely have this same issue with some of the subsequent rounds)
3 - The top round is "nosing down" in the magazine due to a couple factors. 308's in R700's are one of the most forgiving combination for magazines/feeding, so I would agree with
@hookedonbrass and just open the front of the feedlips a touch, so that the tip of the first round sits higher
