For those who have used both chronographs which did you end up with?

I've used both chronographs and usually use a Labradar. I'm looking to pick up my own this year but I'm undecided on which one to get.

I like the Magnetospeed for fast and easy setup and no missed shots. I don't like that it's attached to the barrel for load development

I like the Labradar for being able to do load development and get information at the same time. I don't like that it takes more time to set up, more things to carry and its fussy to set up. I've missed shots in the middle of a string I couldn't explain

I'd shoot prs type matches and fclass so being able to do load development while getting data is a big advantage

this questions is quickly becoming the new "MOA vs. Mil" haha

as stated above. wiser precision or MKM mount for the magnetospeed and you won't have to worry about it being attached to your barrel.

slap it on and shoot, take it off. quick and easy.

I saw those mounts, wasn't sure how well they were working

Lol I've used both and get both I just can't make up my mind..

There's no one around when I'm using a chronograph

the mounts work great.

me and 2 other buddies all use the wiser mount. no issues.

There are MANY threads on the Hide about this topic. There is no "right" answer. It's what you like, taking into account environmental factors. Do a little searching and you will find plenty of info.

I agree. All my shooting is prone. I have a LR and it works for me.

The wiser mount or the mkm mount solve that Magnetospeed issue. I think if you’re shooting in close proximity to others at the range the Magnetospeed may be the way to go.
I had the same problems with missing shots with the Lab Radar, it always seem to be the shot that would give me the most information. I own both and bought the wiser precision mount and problem was solved Magnetospeed all the way.

hmm have shot probably 2k rounds beside my labradar I don't know that it has ever missed a round unless I didn't arm it.

I owned a magnetospeed both Sporter and v3. I own a labradar still.

I ended up with the magneto speed. The both have pros and cons. They’re both very accurate.

The magneto speed is very light and easy to take on trips (that’s why I chose it). But it does take a little bit longer to set up on multiple rifles which is kind of a pain. Also it does provide a. It of impact shift for zeroing. I have a MPA chassis with the attachment to keep it off the barrel so no biggie. It also works great no matter how close to you your neighbor is shooting. Battery last forever.

The Lab Radar is very big to travel with. Works really well and super easy to set up with multiple rifles. The biggest con is if you are on a firing line like say, at a match on the zero bay with others close to you. It’s very hard to get an accurate reading. Also the battery life is pretty weak.

I love the magneto speed and think I made the right choice for me. Hope this helps. Good luck ??

After a fair bit of research and considering that my local range is often crowded, I went with the magnetospeed. Very happy with the performance. I use the MKM mount.

Quite happy with the LR. Yes a few missed shots and learning curve but really not enough to dislike it. Ive had it out on a busy range enough to not worry about that either. I still need to work on positioning for shooting suppressed or get the added mic though. Whenever I have it out Im doing ladder tests for load development so not affecting accuracy was important to me although it seems that a non issue now as long as you buy the extra MS mount. It doesnt happen often but every now and then I like the LR can be used for pistols, pellet guns, etc.
