Watched about 10 grand go out the door, none of it to my own benefit. Family.
I love them dearly, but it's breaking me.
A year ago, our Granddaughter came to say, and it's been a very good change.
Then our Duaghter arrived, Grandson in tow, along with a (sorta) dog and slew of cats. To live with us. I saw her arrive and it was "wazzat?"
Dust finally settles, and there are five people, four cats, three dogs, and our 10 Y/O other Granddaughter flies in to Tucson tonight at midnight.
It's a three bedroom house.
The Grandson has an (old, old) 30ft motor home parked in the back yard, his Hacienda. That was last month or so.
Daughter now has a 28ft used fifth wheel trailer, parked up where she works, a long story, but she's moving in this week. That was last week's big expenditure.
Yesterday, Grandson had a car bought for him, turns out to be an '84 Shelby GT 350, and it's beautiful.
Somewhere along the line, Granddaughter #1's Mustang had a convertible roof replaced. (two weeks ago?).
I'm getting punchy just trying to keep track.
Granddaughter #1 is airborne right this moment bringing Granddaughter #2 from Upstate NY to stay for the Summer. Airfare, etc.
Then yesterday, the Rehab clinic told me I wasn't done with Rehab next Friday, I had ten more sessions to go, so I won't be getting my life back for an additional three weeks and some.
Crap. Just, crap.
Money-wise, we're really not hurting, but the war chest took a significant hit.
Keeping track of life..., priceless.
And then the civil war footing ramped up. I lost it.
I'm back, I'm not happy, and nobody ever said I had to be. Fair is for other people.

I have no intentions of looking for trouble in other places or here, but if it comes here it will find all it wants. There are many in my area who are alike thinkers that are NOT going with the program/events the powers to be, elsewhere want.
The country has grown soft and even those that believe in the constitution have grown soft.
I think you'll find that while 3% or more will take the fight ONCE the communists are actually showing up to haul people off at machinegun point to take THEIR family to the concentration camp, I think probably by population less than 0.3% are willing to kick off the fight at the beginning when they don't know if anyone is going to have their backs or if they will be left all alone to get steamrolled by the "just following orders" police and military (and YES, I think a large block of the police AND the military will "just follow orders", history proves it both in this country and the rest of the world).

I think the point they are trying to make is that the fight is coming to you. I’m not sure what anyone plans to do. If they do find some goons willing to take and carry out such orders you aren’t going to stand much of a chance against an unannounced trained group of 12-15+ men. Not unless you have a compound and some goodies with remote detonators laying around. It’s a far fetched possibility but it is a real possibility that they come round people and their property up. It’s getting more tyrannical by the day.
I guess at that point everyone would have a real decision to make. If you haven’t planned accordingly and don’t have back up tho then you don’t have much of a chance.
