I was figuring 1:8 because I plan on pushing a higher node. Is there substantial proof that 1:7.5 is better at 150+ grains? Like to know...People I’ve talked to have said 1:7.5 twist is the ticket.

Well there’s that haha.Other than Sierra stating 1:7.5 or faster right on the box?
Sierra is well known to be full of shit. Check out 300Blk and many other calibers...I've actually had the least stabilization issues with Sierra yet all they can say is that you will have problems. Alanteans...Other than Sierra stating 1:7.5 or faster right on the box?
I haven’t loaded for it personally but that seems awful fast for that bullet. To make that blow softer I will allow that in the low volume cartridges that might hold. However at 3000 plus velocity I see no reason a 1:8 wont work.

1-1k stability is one thing and transonic stability is another. You have to ask yourself what’s its intended purpose? Hunting or 1 mile plus comp?
I had to ask the question!! There’s a reason the gentleman wants to shoot Sierra 150? CJS get on Berger’s site and play w the stability calculator. You need BC, bullets OAL, velocity, elevation and barrel twist rate. Min stability is NOT good. I’m a fan of fast twist or higher SG
