SoTex by way of N. Idaho
During my last range visit I was testing some loads and ran into a common problem we all face (particularly here in South Texas this time of year), HEAT. I ended up spending a lot longer at the range than I preferred waiting for the barrel to cool between strings of fire. With this being said, I decided to come up with a solution to increase the cooling of the bore/chamber. After some thought, I decided that I could fabricate something that would be effective out of items we all likely have at home. The items are:

1. Bore guide
2. Air mattress pump
3. Clear plastic tubing to clean a fish tank (3/4" ID, 1" OD)
4. Hose clamp
5. Heat gun (used to heat tubing to fit it over pump nozzle)

I assembled the items, and, after some tweaking, have found that it works pretty well. Here are some pictures:

Needs a catchy name.

Queefenator?

I did the same thing... but my range has a power outlet next to the gun rack so I bought the plug in version of the mattress pump. The hose actually fits right into the breech face of the chamber, so I just jam it in there. Puts a ton of air through the barrel, but is loud as hell too.

Post your pictures, methodology, and parts list so folks can juxtapose them and see what works for them.
