We have the death penalty. We even voted to expedite the appeals process. If they brought back the death penalty there wouldn't be over crowding .
Edit : If the father had a gun he could have saved the taxpayers money .
I am okay with them letting any drug violation out of prison as long as they weren't also violent criminal acts involved. The war on Drugs and the Clinton Crime Bill destroyed our rights and a goodly portion of a certain segments of our population.
The only problem with that is, they sit on death row for 30 to 40 years and we're still paying for em! I say, "ya got 6mo. and you'd better have a good attorney, or lights-out!" MacIf they brought back the death penalty there wouldn't be over crowding .

After witnessing whats been going on the Justice over the last 10 years I dont trust them to administer the death penalty. The justice system is corrupt as fuck. From the top down, I want them disarmed actually. Scum bags that they are.
Hahaha but what is California's definition of "non-violent"?
Over simplification of a complex issue. If all drugs were legalized, you'd see the prison population go down pretty damn quick.
Anyone that wasn't a freedom loving conservative that got trapped by yet another anti freedom law...
Yup. As well as enticing a minor into prostitution, rape by use of drugs therefore victim unable to give consent, simple robbery without use of a weapon, and so many more.No really, Californias non violent list is a joke. It includes some rapes and child molestations among others.
In general, I agree. There are some drug offenders who are imprisoned because they were involved in criminal organizations etc, but they have no previous criminal convictions.
Now, say, due to the government failing grandma and her social security/medicare/swamp which caused her to mule half-a-key in order to pay for her insanely overpriced diabetes meds....
Yes, she gets out.
I totally agree. The rich folk have always "had it easy" and the federal crime bill passed under Clinton in the mid-90's did nothing but exacerbate the issue as it pertained to the desperate sentencing guidelines with federal violations. Also law treats rich kids drugs differently than poor kids drugs . First lot go to rehab spa retreat second get mandatory minimum sentences that are quite high
Or like in case of ''extraordinary bussinesman'' Hunter Biden , even crack doesnt get you jail time.
