Just curious if anyone spent anytime between the 2 rounds and if there is any real works noticeable difference in recoil for spotting impacts. Have always shot the 140’s or 142 SMK’s and was curious if the 130 hybrid would offer any advantage.

Whichever ever projectile barrel prefer..ive been forcing my x47 to shoot 140hyb bcoz it has better bc over 130hyb and better for longer range with winds.but rifle prefer 130 lesser bc but more accurate and concistent. Being lighter/faster it offers less elevation dial

It all depends on the range you're going for. Over 1K you might be better off with the 140. Inside 500 I'd go with the 130.

I disagree..prime ammos for 6.5 creed comes with 130 norma bullets and people including frank killing one mile silhouette with it..also 10 shots 1000yards record came from 6.5x47 shooting 123 scenars.ive shot 130s to 1300y no problem

The 130's can also give you some extra powder options. Not as big a deal now but not to long ago H4350 was very hard to find. In match use both performed about the same for me. The lesser bc of the 130's were evened out by the extra fps.

Largely depends on what velocity your rifle shows accuracy at with each bullet. I can find really good accuracy in my match gun with both 130s and 140s. It likes 130s at 2868 and 140s at 2706. The 140 doesn’t show better numbers until the 1000 yard line so I just stick with the 130s.

Just let your rifle tell you which way to go.

I've shot both. The 140's shot very well, but I think the 130 AR Hybrid shot better over a large range of powder charges. I'm getting 2877fps with 130's, and just under 2800 with the 140's. The difference in wind, which I shoot in all the time here in Cheyenne is very small. Mostly .1 to .2 MRAD to 1000. What I like about the 130's the most is they don't care about seating depth one bit. The 140's shot the same as 140 ELD-M from my rifle. Even had the same zero. I shot a local match using both the bullets the same day without issue.

I’ve been a Service Rifle competitor for years and just starting shooting PRS type matches for around a year so never really messed much with loads. The 140’s have shot well in my 65x47 but in matches of 800 or less I have a slow node load for the 123 Scenars that is the most accurate. It’s just a slow load at 2850. Have some matches coming up out to 1150 and keep trying to tell myself just go with the accuracy load but keep looking at the numbers and .2 mil or about 9” difference in drift at 1150. This barrel just really seems to like Varget and the light bullets.
