Last night was my last night as a police officer. 10 years absolutely flew by. I've learned a lot about people and myself in the process. On to bigger and better things as I will be using only my paramedic and pew pew skills in my next line of work.

As a parting gift they all chipped in and got me this:

Thanks guys. It's surreal. Cleaning out my locker and patrol gear bag felt like I was detached from myself.

Now I get to do nothing but make ammo, shoot, and workout for the next 6 weeks before I drive from southern Cali to North Carolina for the job.

Looking forward to meeting with @ArmyJerry and maybe a few others on the way.

I don't know if you're a US Combat Veteran, but many of our VFW members are former and current LE; and are, in general, all very well received and liked. I suspect the same is as true in SC as it is here in SE AZ.

Give it a look-see.

Here in SE AZ, we also have a number memebr who are active CBP agents as well as former Military, and/or/also former LE.
