As most readers here will know, just a few days prior a 25 year old Daytona Beach man was arrested and charged with making terroristic threats after texting plans to kill "100 people" to his ex-girlfriend.

Another one surfaced shortly after. This time a teen from a nearby high school in an apparent case of "gamer rage" posted the alarming comment on a video game server.

In both cases, the perps had been immediately identified and intercepted before they can do anything else, although both of them turned out to be attention-whoring low impulse control weirdos.

No new gun laws or 'red flag' nonsense was used in either case to ID and apprehend the originators of the threats. The only thing involved was fast, accurate, and timely response by both vigilant citizens and the appropriate authorities.

    ----------
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — A student from Seabreeze High School was arrested recently after posting a comment on a video game chat platform.

The comment was: “I Dalton Barnhart vow to bring my fathers m15 to school and kill 7 people at a minimum”

The comment was reported to the FBI, and the FBI contacted the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
The name “Dalton Barnhart” was fake, and the young man responsible for the comment insisted it was a joke.

“Joke or not, these types of comments are felonies under the law,” deputies said. “After the mass violence we’ve seen in Florida and across the country, law enforcement officers have a responsibility to investigate and charge those who choose to make these types of threatening statements.”

    ----------

VIDEO: The entitled little shit gets his reality check. Pay close attention to how his mother is trying to pull the "muh baby dindu nuffin" card. It is obvious why the kid turned out to be that way and will be looking at some serious charges soon...

I couldn't go through the entire video. I had to stop about halfway as my rage against that stupid cunt just kept building.

THAT is why we have a generation of amoral nihilists who have no impulse control, no concept of right or wrong, and no idea what "actions have consequences" means.

If that was my kid a) he would know damned well better and b) if he did pull that shit the cops would have had to arrest me for the epic beating that I would give him.

And yet, folks don't understand why LEO's sometimes have short tempers.
Try listening to shit like that 10 or more times every shift.
Not making excuses, but everybody is human and can only take so much.

Maybe you guys explain too much. Cite the broken law, cuff the fucker, stuff him in the car, tell the mom that she can tell it to the judge.

    Period. Done.

Amazing what happens when the law is enforced .

    This.

We already have the most effective "red flag" system in place. It is called dialing 911 whenever some fucker talks and acts in a manner that clearly endangers the lives and safety of others. Plenty of time in the county lockup for the individual to then contemplate about the consequences of what he said. If that kid had made that same comment in the 1940's, he'd be looking at spending a very long period of time in a state asylum. Not too far from where I reside lies the sprawling hulk of a state psychiatric facility. Built in the 1800's, expanded to house thousands of permanent residents, and then closed and abandoned in the 1970's. This was one of the places where they did electroconvulsive therapy and dental chair lobotomies on a grand scale. Mental health and offensive behavior correction was taken extremely seriously back then.

At 15, I think I would have died a thousand deaths before I paraded around in hot pink socks.

I didn’t watch th video, but- apparently- pink is now cool. And, so are outlandish socks.

Now that I think about it, I don’t really trust a guy that doesn’t like pink...

The wife and I were shopping one day and the store had some very inexpensive shirts for sale.

There was a pink dress shirt for about $3.

I bought it and told her it takes a VERY confident man to wear a pink shirt. I thought I would wear it underneath a sport jacket and folks would just think I washed it with my red underwear the red bath towels.

The rest of the story? Yea, I don't think I have ever worn it.
