Hi guys I was just wondering if 300 PRC rounds fit into a standard Remington 700 L/A BDL Hinged Magazine/Bottom Metal? I'm looking at getting a 300PRC and putting it in a HS Precision or B&C aluminum bedded stock.

To answer the OPS question - yes and no. Lengthwise, factory Hornady 212ELD-Xs will fit with little to no room to spare. Rounds with a COAL longer the factory 212ELD-Xs will not fit. If you are bound and determined to use factory BDL hinged bottom metal, I'd suggest you find a RUM magazine box and follower, though you'll still be limited to COAL. Otherwise, I'd go with the Wyatt's as recommended.
One note on the Wyatt's PRC setup - the bolt stop needs to be shortened by ~.110". This may or may not be an issue if your action is configured with a side bolt release.

I run the PRC in a standard length 700 box. Took it to Africa in May of '18. I load to mag length with 212's. It doesn't require a RUM mag box or follower unlike the larger .550" diameter cases. Feeds just fine.
I've run 212s thru my build, but due to time and weather constraints, didn't chrono the load. I just had a itch to shoot it and start the barrel break in. Plus I wanted an empty case to use in determining what I could get for max COAL, when it comes time to reload.
FWIW, at this time I'm using a BDL RUM magazine box and follower. The RUM mag doesn't provide any more length than a std LA mag. It does, IMHO, aid slightly in holding round in the mag and feeding. The skelotonized box of the RUM provides just a touch of additional width for the fat case near the shoulder and keeps rounds in place just that much better. YMMV. I tried a Std LA mag and follower and I prefer the functionality of the RUM mag better. Down the road, I'll probably have the stock re-inletted for M5 bottom metal and run CIP (3.850") mags or go to a KRG Bravo use the CIP mags.
Lastly, I'll add that the PRC kit that Wyatt's has uses not only a longer magazine, but one that like the RUM mag is skelotonized. Wyatt gives an explanation in his installation video. I'll let those interested view and list to it and decide on their own.

I don't load it hot as it's a hunting rifle. At 2-300 yds 100 FPS isn't going to make any difference. Only my shoulder would know. Also 100% reliability is even more important. I've had issues in the past, all self inflicted, with max loads, traveling great distances, spending great sums of money, only to find myself fighting the bolt handle. I'm running 212's @2825-2850 FPS w/25" barrel. 74.0 grs 4831SC
I've often had loads that work great in cold weather, and make a sticky bolt when tested in warm weather. I've quit chasing max throttle as well. That's why I'm happy with the old 300 Win Mag.
