Jet Blast muzzle brake keeps coming loose. how are you guys keeping these to stay on. There is some post on here about it but cant fid it ? Thanks
 
You shouldn't need anything - are you installing using two wrenches at the same time? If you use Rocksett, you're defeating the whole purpose of a self timing brake. I've never had mine come loose and I remove it regularly to clean the muzzle crown.

I am only using 1 wrench to tighten it to the barrel. I was told to use lithium grease before I tighten it but have not used it as of yet
 
I have 3 Jetblast brakes and none of them have issues with coming loose and I'm just tightening them snug with one wrench. I'm not sure what but something isn't right. Have you tried using an antisieze compound instead of grease?

The Hellfire uses a taper fit between the brake and the adapter. That taper/cone design locks up with pressure (I give a tap with wood mallet) and in my experience remains in place with a hand tight twist of the locking collar. The PVA brake-to-lock nut is flat, and I've found it needs a firm twist using two wrenches.

Jeremy from PVA uses a slightly different technique. He sets the locking nut in place, and "times" the brake about ten degrees short of level, then uses a wrench to turn the brake into position. Either way, if you find it coming loose, one of the two parts is slipping a little. It doesn't take much mechanical pressure to lock the brake to locking nut.

Both are great muzzle brakes, slightly different design, both will stay in place and easily removed for cleaning.
 
+1 for 2 wrenches...maybe loctite. I never had a problem with the JetBlast, but had your issue with a Shockwave...that and it's overall length is why I got rid of it
 
Use two 15/16" wrenches. One of the flat of the brake to hold level, the second to thread (jam) the nut against the brake. Don't go nuts, firm pressure will lock them together.
I will try that thanks do I need to put grease on the threads before I do or try without it first ?
