    Okay

I have like a day to do an article for February and it's sort of a SHOT Show article that talks new innovations for the coming year

I know a few items that are dropping, but nothing really cool

What do you know that is dropping at SHOT which would make it worth talking about ?

Guessing is not what I am looking at

I can call Scott but I know they have an event in April regarding AI

Don't see that as being a big Gun Digest thing

To me it's more about everyday stuff,

    Glock 22s, MDT Chassis etc,

    More general not niche

I've heard USO is replacing the B-Series.

Also heard the engineer that built the B-Series is launching his own Optics company at SHOT.

Is MDT releasing anything related to J Allen or Ckye pods? They aren't new products, but any pricing difference could make them a new option for some. Seems to me there was mention of that on a podcast, but I admit I could be mis-remembering.

Tangent Theta H/Hunter series should be close so maybe a firm date on availability will be announced. I think it was announced last year?

    Are you feeling ok?

Wasn’t sure if AI was introductions anything new or intentions for the AX line at SHOT which is what I was getting at. I misread your post, thought you were looking for stuff to potentover in a article post SHOT.

The new Sig M18 is kinda cool and the 320 series specifically the Legions are kinda making a big stink in the gun world and on the competition side. Enough that I kinda want to try one and I don’t even like sigs.

The new Geissele rifles are pretty gangster too.

    Hi,

I would be thrilled for Hoplite Arms to be included in such article.

We have lots of things going on at this very moment; some of which will be on display at Shot Show while some will be later in the year but all far enough in progress to discuss the details of.

    @lowlight
Please feel free to contact me if you would like any information before Shot Show.

    Sincerely,
    Theis

You know there's going to be some "PRC" speak. Hornady isn't going to pass that up.

Newcon got anything nifty coming out? Other electronics that I'm not aware of perhaps?

From what I've read this year is sort of a bleh.

Be nice to avoid politics but can the industry address any of the events happening in places like VA and try to unite so they can protect what they have.

Talk about adjoining states offering discounts to people from communist states for stuff like training or what have you as long as it complies with the law.

Perhaps a unified message from the industry to the NRA that they need to go back to basics would be good.

Sorry to bring such stuff up but if we dont unify somewhere we are screwed.

I wish I would not think about this stuff so much.

I believe atlas bipod people have a few new goodies on the way.
    Then there’s Hoplite.
    lookin forward to seeing that.

Maybe finally the trigger tec 2 stage?

    And the Zylo from ARC?

Instead of solely gear/hardware innovations, you could get into the weeds regarding Prime’s “group buy” strategy for a portion of the article?

Group buy’s are not all that innovative in & of themselves, but it could be interesting to discuss the challenges in front of ammo manufacturers and the business innovations that are/will be required to stay in business

    Terminus actions?
The industry changing to range finding binoculars?
Athlon Just dropped thier new line for 2020?
    J-Allen product being re-born?
The explosion of Sub $800 scopes coming on to the market? <--- I think you'll see a lot of this at shot this year.

How good would the Larue Siete have to be for you to go talk to them?

Is it worth talking about how it seems like shot show is becoming less of the one main place to release new products? It seems that with the number of larger shows throughout the year companies are moving to a process where they can release things when they’re ready instead of waiting for the next shot show. Going from an Apple-like release model to a more traditional one.

    Nah

That is more insider, and Gun Digest is a magazine for guys on the shitter,

It needs to be more about the "stuff" than my insider thoughts

    But you are correct

I see NRA as becoming a bigger venue to release products because it is open to the public

    Hi,

Blackwater Ammunition is launching Blackwater Firearms and should have their new full auto pistol and their new double barrel, double cartridge pistol at the show. (Hopefully they not waiting until IWA)

    Sincerely,
    Theis

You may have covered something like this but it looks like the dam is breaking and everyone is getting into the 22 rifle race. The T1x came out a couple months ago. Bergara announced a rifle.

The bergara one is especially interesting to me because it has the R700 footprint and their mags with be AICS shaped making it look like it could fit most stocks. It could be a cheaper alternative to the v22 for us cheapskates.

I know you briefly touched on the Victor AX Hammer Rail during the Black Friday episode, but I'm sure readers would be interested in it.

Sam's AI chassis. I know there are a few prototype users and it's not in production yet, but that can be added to your 'added on accessories' list.

AI AX50 switch barrel in .416 and .50 with a second bolt and barrels for .375 and .408 cheytac!

I agree with @Secant. I think it would be worth mentioning Prime and the struggle ammunition manufacturers are going through right now. I think it’ll bring the struggles to light for more people to see.

I know it has been beaten to death in the press, but the Springfield Hellcat is kind of a big deal at that price point, optics ready, capacity, blah, blah and so on.

Actually my phone has blown up

So I have a dozen great ideas and new products to discuss

thanks everyone I am not dropping this until Thursday so keep it coming, might be worth it for people see preview
