My neighborhood has none of those, well, maybe one. I logged on and created an account when my pit pup Nessie broke her puppy leads(bent the frack out of a pinch collar her size), chasing a herd of deer, straight through a barbed wire fence at a dead run, and GONE. Now her bark, a very solid carrying ROOP ROOP could be heard quite a ways away.
I looked, then thought maybe she'll try to come home. Logged on, posted a photo, said I needed help getting her back.
A girl posted she saw her at teh end of the road above me an hour ago(I was out by the farms). So I went back home, warmed up, made a travel mug of loaded hot cocoa, and away I went up the top street calling her name and using her call whistle(a tops flat whistle). As I passed the cut road, I hear that ROOP ROOP ROOP. She is in a yard behind a gate with three other dogs. AS I started to walk down the driveway, two girls and mom come out saying they just messaged me they had Nessie and how much fun she was.
She jumped up literally into my arms, scratched up chest, stomach, sides and licked my face. I strapped her up, thanked the ladies, and we walked the half block home. Had they left well enough alone, she would have been home barking at the door probably within 15 minutes of them catching her. She was tracked down the street, gin gup to yards antagonizing dogs at the fences, then running off towards home.
Then I deactivated it, done. Dog runs off again, reactivate and use as needed
