Like the looks of the new RRS items.

I suppose, I understand the 6cm and 6GT offerings....it's a comp gun and those are solid, known comp cartridges....but I'd be on the line day 1 to order if it came in 6.5cm
edit, this was supposed to be quoting the mention of the GAP production class rifle

With the Leica HD-B's not allowing for a stud mount, these might be ideal. I'm assuming the strap has some kind of quick release function.

Have used this version on my Zeiss and it is very light and plenty stout for the job.
May not be need if the binos have a center stud design.

Interesting, not sure about the attachment though, appreciate the link and will have to keep it in mind.

I use it with a quick attach plate compatible with whichever tripod I'm using.
Still fits in my bino harness/pouch as well.
The picture in the ad is a little confusing.
    The "stand" isn't included.
Basically it had a plate witha 1/4x20 stud hole to mount quick change plates to.

Kinda liking that leica PRS 5-30! I'll wait till someone unaffiliated gets their hands on one before I get too excited. Thanks for the pictures Frank.

I agree. Can someone get a pic from above so we can see how the strap works.

If you look at the RRS marked black buckle there is a pin that holds the nylon strap. That lever lifts up and releases the tension on the strap that is wrapped around the single objective lens. That is mounted in the QD mount.

Imagine putting your thumb under the part marked RRS and lifting up...

Interesting mount. Doesn’t look QD but I’m sure it’s stout.
Personally I’m looking for a small QD mount for the new Leica 3200 bino/LRF. I really like the Outdoorsman Swarovski stud mount. Unfortunately I don’t believe the Leica will work with the necessary stud.
Looks like I’ll be stuck with the new RRS or Leica “strap on” mount.

    Strap on just sounds wrong...
