Geissele Super Duty Rifle

Right-I gathered that. I'm just wondering if they caught up with Black Friday sales and are now shipping new orders quicker or if they are putting new orders ahead of Black Friday orders-which I would find hard to believe.

I ordered a rail over black friday weekend and it still hasn't shipped. I don't think they've caught up with their orders from the sale yet.

I placed two separate orders over Black Friday weekend. One the first day, and one a few days after. My second order shipped almost immediately... it was several of the G2S triggers. My first order I still have heard nothing on. I think they were selling stuff that they didn't have in stock, so it is my guess they are trying to catch up on the manufacturing side of things.

So you put that same rail in your cart and it said 3-5 days to ship?

Correct, same exact rail and that is what it says. Even tried doing it for a couple of other parts just top try and make sure if they were saying something different based on the part and it's popularity. But it may be site wide.

Interesting-keep us updated. Just the logistics of classifying who paid more and giving them shipping priority-across all of their products is a lot of freaking work.

I don't think it's that hard to give people who ordered after black Friday priority. Just sort the orders by date. There is probably a system that identifies orders that are over due for being shipped. They probably wouldn't even have to have their order system redone.

Purchased the super charging handle and received that within a week. (Awesome btw, like it better than the the 2nd gen bcm gunfighters)

Been playing back and forth with my FFL for 2 weeks on the super duty lower and parts kit after receiving the email from Geissele. Hope to have it shipped any day now.

Looking back, should’ve bought an entire rifle and sold what I didn’t need.
850 is a hell of a deal

The rail finally shipped via UPS ground today and is in the hands of UPS. We will see how long it takes them to get it across country ???

We will also see if it's the right one. Geissele shipped me the wrong reaction rod and it still took them a week to ship me the right one once I told them they made a mistake and sent me the wrong one.

I’m getting a little discouraged about the prospect of getting my Black Friday order before SHOT.

Many manufacturers close for a couple of weeks for Christmas, and Bill G is a Christian, so that's likely. They're also busy readying for SHOT Show, and that plays havoc with things too.

Every year I forget that Dec and Jan are bad months to order gun stuff, and then I'm reminded of it after I've waited.

As long as people keep making excuses for this kind of customer service Geissele will continue to do it. There is no reason for them to be giving orders that were purchased at full price after a sale over orders that were placed during the sale. The orders should have been sent out in the order in which they were received. Also, manufacturers ramp up production before a major sale or event to meet demand.

I bought products from SLR, Radian and Superlative Arms during their Black Friday sales. All those orders were sent out in a week. So why is it that Geissele can't seem to keep up with their demand? Other companies seem to be doing it.

Doesn’t look like they’re going to hit the 8 week mark on my order. Odd, because they asked for my FFL. Provided the number, said they didn’t get an answer, then gave them a different FFL, who I know they have on file.

Not the end of the world, but every other supplier in the gun industry seems to be on point and ready to deliver.

As far as I know there is a "Super Duty Complete Upper" with a Geissele 11.5" CHF barrel and there is a "URGI", which is the USASOC 10.5" or 14.5" Daniel Defense CHF barrel. There is not a "Super Duty URGI" that I know of. Which one did you already receive?
Sorry just seeing this. It is esentially a 14.5 URGI upper on a geiselle lower setup. This rifle was on their site for several months, when they sold out on black friday, they took it down. It is a nice rifle.

I will NOT be spending anymore money with Geissele. They sell shit they dont have in stock. Then when it returns to stock, they fullfill orders in the order of whoever paid the most. There is posts all over different forums and facebook of Geissele shipping parts with poor QC. The barrels they have been shipping are pure ugly, they didn't even attempt to remove machining marks. I have been waiting on an $800 order of parts since black friday. Going on 8 weeks. All of the parts I ordered were in stock at the time of ordering and many show in stock now. So why aren't they boxing and shipping them? Non of them require an FFL.

My URGI super Duty is a very nice gun, especially for the price i paid. It was however BONE dry out of the box. I had to strip it down a lube everything correctly. There was zero lubrication used when assembling. This doesn't quite make sense. I wouldn't store a gun or shoot a gun thats bone dry.

Here is an update on your Black Friday orders. Yes, orders are leaving on a daily basis, however, we did run into a delay with some anodize colors. Some of them just weren’t turning out the way we wanted and we are working to remedy the situation. Even though we offer our lowest prices of the year during Black Friday, we still expect every item leaving our shop to be of the highest quality that Geissele is known for. If you know anything about us, is that we always make it right. Expect something awesome coming your way soon. And again, we sincerely apologize for any delays in shipping that these issues may cause, we value your trust and business and we will continue to work very hard to retain both. #geisseleallthethings

have a super duty coming as long as it’s comes correct dont really care if it takes a extra month price was right.

It’s annoying but it’s the industry. I’m still waiting for my MDT BR mags that I ordered at the same time.

It's a part of the industry because we allowed it to be. If we stopped buying from companies that do this and let them know we aren't buying from them because of this practice then they would stop doing it.

I ordered a complete Super Duty Rifle, an upper and 2x upper / lower sets. I have yet to hear word on any of it. I ended up cancelling some of it due to the delay. I understand it stated it could take up to 8 weeks to deliver however, it's not like Black Friday sneaks up on these companies. Some of this stuff should have been on the shelf already knowing the holiday season was approaching and ready to go. I feel better now..... lol.

And think about this. Geissele is one of the best AR parts manufacturers in the world. They supply to governments and large retail stores like Optics Planet and Brownells. How can they have a shipping department so small that they can't handle Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. Doesn't make sense to me.

Then properly prepare for it. They control what was put on sale. They strategized pricing and items. They would have done this some time before Black Friday. So be prepared for the influx of orders on the most popular shopping day of the year. Now, we will have lost another two weeks with SHOT approaching.

Smart of them by blaming the anodizing not up to their standards. Makes them look good and gives them another reason to delay.

In all fairness.... they may have sold a Ton of Sh!t

In all fairness they took our money when we ordered the products. I'm lucky that I got all my stuff before Shot. But it looks like others aren't so lucky and are going to have to wait even longer than expected.

Fitz cancelled part of his order. Did Geissele refund his money immediately or are they making him wait for that too? They are taking peoples money immediately and making us wait for the products we ordered. If someone cancells they should get their refund immediately since they are missing their own self imposed deadlines.

When I ordered a Radian safety from Radian there was an issue with their website and it made two orders for me. I called Radian the next business day and told them what happened and they had the money for the second order back into my bank account immediately. That's great customer service right there and don't tell me it can't be done.

Like I said, SLR Rifleworks, Radian and Superlative Arms seemed to get their products out quickly. So again, why can't Geissele?

Now it also looks like they got into the scope market if you seen the new release. It may be they have too many irons in the fire and running a hundred different directions.

Just staying positive bro, I honestly don’t understand the problems on their end and why it takes so long to fulfill these orders. Only assumption would be that they sold a lot of product at sale price and rather than showing it out of stock after the first day, they honored prices.

I gave up trying to order on the first day because of the internet issues and still was able to place an order at sale price day after Black Friday

I will say that I have placed multiple orders through SWFA, Brownells, midway , even an exchange, all on top of deals with the post exchange in the time it’s taken to wait on the order. But again, staying positive and patient.

Wouldn’t complain if it landed me a coffee mug. Wife would hate it just as much as the Short Action Customs Christmas card that i proudly displayed a couple years ago

It’s all good. It’ll work itself out. It’s just a bit frustrating. I just escaped California so this was my first non-neutered AR purchase so I’m just bitching.

Congrats on escaping Komiforia. I'm sure you'll love being able to shoot non neutured ARs now.

I know what you mean. I just got notified that my custom Bartlein barrel just shipped to CLE today. Shipped when they said it would, only charged me a deposit when I ordered the barrel and didn't charge me the rest until today. Can't ask for more than that.

We will see how the barrel is once CLE gets a hold of it. But being a Bartlein it's pretty good odds the barrel will be good to go. That will be two new ARs for me to build.

Was trying to stick to the cheaper end on the pistol build but that didn't work out so well. :ROFLMAO:  :ROFLMAO: Was going to go with an ALG lower kit with their upgraded mil spec trigger but instead with a Geissele SSA-E trigger, Geissele Charging handle, Their Maritime Bolt Catch and a Radian ambi safety. The sales were just too good to pass up. I'm one of the lucky ones that have received all my stuff but it still took way longer than it should have IMO and I feel for those of you that are still having to wait.

I just received a email saying my super duty is shipping, I wouldn’t really care if it took another month for the price I paid And knowing it said up to 8 weeks going in.

If someone wanted a black 16” super duty rifle I cancelled my order today. So someone will move up the list.

Some of you guys should simply stop buying Geissele stuff.

And that's exactly what I've done. The amount of money I saved just isn't worth the wait. Taking someones money for a product and then still not delivering close to 8 weeks later just isn't good customer service.

And as of today this message is still up on their website:

"All new orders placed after the Black Friday Sale, purchased at full price, will take shipping priority and will ship within 3 – 5 business days. "

Go ahead and place an item in your cart and go to checkout and you will see that message. That is disrespectful and bad customer service to the customers that placed orders during the black friday sale. There is absolutely no reason for a policy like that.

I see that. That's BS IMO.

I could see being upset if th year didn’t tell you. When I placed my order I had to check a box that said 8 weeks. I just hope with all the complaining they don’t stop doing such a aggressive discount during Black Friday, maybe they need add some Geissele Kleenex To the swag pack.

Picked up my “Super Duty” receiver set from my FFL today. Kinda disappointed but not enough to care by now since I purchased them at Black Friday pricing. The anodizing is pretty rough on the upper but great on the lower. The lower does have some tooling/forging marks that I’m not accustomed to seeing on forged receivers. I’m still going to use it to build the rifle, I just hope their QC picks it up a little bit. It’s their first shot at these so I find it somewhat expected.

Oh yeah, today is exactly 8 weeks since my order was placed. No shipping notification. Yay.

I'm probably not doing further business with Geissele after this. While delays are common in the industry, they've been completely unapologetic about it, haven't really offered any good reason, and seem to be taking other customers ahead of us in line, and are expanding their business in some dubious directions (the LPVO).

I would call them and complain. Just because you got it on sale doesn't mean you should get that kind of quality especially for the wait time you had to endure to get it. You ordered what is supposed to be a top tier reciever set and that's not what you got.
