just recently recieved my bipod from thunder beast. This bipod is bad ass. It came with the picatanny quick attach throw lever , but wanting to change over to attach to an arca swiss rail. what adapter will i need to use the RRS SC-

That is a direct bolt on. Nothing extra needed.

RRS is very nice and versatile for pic or arca rail. Here’s some pic of mine to give you a reference how low profile it is when mounted to tripod. Tension has been great for me, I haven’t notice the mount ever loosen when shooting.

Youll need what i wrote, if you want to attach the SC clamp as you requested in your OP. If your fine with a screw knob clamp the RRS BTC-Pro will direct mount and it has both picatinny and dovetail just like the SC-LR lever release version.

The Arca 17S clamp takes your svelte lightweight bipod and turns it into a bloated pig. The Arca form factor is horrible on bipods. I have them on my bipods and all I can do is shake my head, it feels like I'm going backwards.

So if you hate it so much then take them off and go back to pic mounts? Not sure what you're trying to contribute here as the OPs question has been answered

Yeah, I've been running short pieces of Pic rail at the front of the forearm for bipods, with short pieces of Arca/Swiss at the rear for clamping a tripod. Not saying that's the right solution for everyone, but it works for me.

That's probably the route I'll eventually take. I'm a bit slow moving on changes. When I originally bought a HC-Pro I set it aside because it didn't offer anything other than a Arca interface. Regular picatinny mounts are superior in every other way. For whatever reason I felt like I couldn't live without a SOAR lever mount so I have one of those too. Frankly I'm not sure who thinks the SOAR mount is a good design. I don't want to be rude to RRS but the implementation of their SOAR lever release is awful; it uses spacers, multiple interfacing surfaces, and extra screws. The end result is tall stack height and a giant overly complicated mount dangling from the top of the bipod.

I'll probably just cut the Arca rail in half and reinstall the pic rail. That is the setup I'm using on a few different rifles. I don't need the bipod to slide back and forth.

I don't hate the Arca rail, it serves its purpose. However, it is helpful to people interested in the conversion if they know what they are getting into. I've heard a few grumblings from people that didn't like the Arca bipod interface; most seem to say the clamp can move under recoil. That may be but the bipod interface is pretty terrible before you even put the bipod on. Hold a 17S style Larue mount up next to a RRS SOAR lever or an HC-Pro. These mounts desperately need a revision.

they can move under recoil depending how tight you can make it. this is why i prefer the arcalok

but theres something new coming to fix this issue for people who cant hand tighten them enough

any one know if area 419 makes a clamp for the tbac bipod that works with there locking arca

Area 419 standard Arcalock clamp should work. They are the same 17S hole pattern as the RRS clamp mentioned above.
Thats what i thought but I wasn't sure im getting the 419 arca lock rail and wanted to have the locking bipod mount as well i gess I can call to make double sure
