Suppressors QuietBore 9/45 Suppressor Build Review -***Approved Form 1 Required***

So if I’m only going to run it in a PCC, could I just run the full stack? Or is it better to use a spacer?

Sorry for the barrage of questions. I assume the 45 drill fixture will work with the brandywine SS and Ti cones? And lastly, if I have a lathe is there any reason to get the fixture?

Absolutely no reason to get the jig. A practiced hand can do well with the jig and a hand drill, but some people still don't end up with centered holes. Absolutely use the lathe if you have the option. Make your first hole through small enough to miss the clip as they try to pull the drill off center. Then drill to the size you want.

@padom so do I understand that the Ti 30cal cups are about ready to order from Brandywine? Also I’m confused on the status of the entrance/exit caps. I know this shutdown has slowed things down for them, just wondering where we stand on getting these ordered to finish my 2 cans.

Thank you for all your work getting these sourced in Ti padom!

Waiting on caps to be finalized. That's where it stands

I ordered a 9mm QB kit. Do you think there is any major sound reduction advantage to getting a .45 kit and drilling it for 9mm? I'm wondering if I should have done that.

I decided to make a different endcap for mine. A 9mm for the 45 can. I still have to part it off and crown it but this gives you the idea. I coned the inside also

Tried to upload pics but the site won’t let me currently?‍♂️

There was an update in the other thread that SS were going out or gone out and Ti are being worked on next.
Thanks!
"I just talked to them this morning. SS should be finished up and shipping next week. Ti is looking at about 2 weeks as there was shipping delays from that supplier with everything going on but it just arrived." -March 26th
Was the last thing i saw. Just checking up for no further delays.

Well my Rugged 45 and QB 45 are identical sound wise side by side. I shoot Xtreme 165gr with 3.5gr VV N340...stupid quite and hits like sledge on steel. I haven't found anything quieter

Here my son shooting my AR9 with the 165gr Xtreme's. Stupid quite, accurate. So much fun to shoot

Sorry to ping you on an old post, but did you go with their kit as configured? So 1 stainless and 9 aluminum? Any recommendations? You specifically have intrigued me because I was 100% set on buying a obsidian 45 because of how quiet it is. But these new quietbore kits seem to be really good.

@padom I’ve got a question about swapping between the .45 piston and 9mm piston. I ordered the QB tube, .45 piston and booster assembly, and those look like they work great (still waiting on the Ti cups so I don’t know for sure), but then I decided I’d like to be able to shoot it on my 9mm.

I ordered the 9mm piston for my thread pitch, and when I dropped it in the booster housing, it wobbles all over the place (example). Is there another part I’m missing? There’s no way I’d shoot that as-is...

Yea the new 9mm piston booster end cap I've been waiting for from Preston for what 9 months now. No reply

Hate to revive a dead thread but was there ever any mass interest in a titanium cup set for the 9mm kit? I would love to get my hands on some. And thanks for all of the great info in this thread. It was very helpful for me with my first form 1 can.

Damn it, sucks for us that were patiently waiting. Guess ill just use it for my third can and hope I get a bath approval.

Yep people complaining they haven't received them and telling me I should go hunt these guys down so I texted the owner and he said im refunding all the orders.
Damn really? Any way to not punish the rest of us for some people being assholes?

Who is Ecco and are they doing Ti cups that fit the QB .30cal tube?

Looks nice. If you compare 30 cal cans, the weight is about the same. Anyone have any coupon codes?

I think he only does stainless, but he does really good work. Look him up on facebook, ecco machining or machine. There was a really good artcile on AR15.

I sent you a PM regarding the inserts with the 45 trap - wanting to make sure I get a hold of someone with my order.

This was why - Just trying to get into contact with them.

You didnt read through the thread. Thats not QB Im referring to (brandywine cleaning products)...thats a 3rd party company we were talking about and discussing that was making SS cups for QB cans because QB wouldnt make them....they arent making them anymore either
