One thing that works MOST of the time is moth balls or moth crystals. put several under the hood, a couple in the passenger compartment near floor heater vents and on top of each tire. I know this works quite well from experience leaving stuff in Hell's Canyon. I have also heard that peppermint works and other such aromatics but I have doubts.
Just read a piece that some new cars are using soy-based plastics in wire now... makes it easier to recycle and is a “farm” product**.

The problem is that rodents seem to like it. And brand new cars are getting their wiring harnesses eaten to bits in some areas.

gotta love them Recyclable Products! How much carbon footprint do they save when the whole car has to be scrapped because a gerbil ate your eco harness!

cheers, Sirhr

** Soy plastic is nothing new... Henry Ford was obsessed with the soybean as an industrial product. His researchers created Bakelite, one of the first plastics, at an industrial level. This was just one among other farm-industrial products Ford created and promoted. Ford believed that farmers should benefit from industrialization by supplying it.

Maybe you need to dilute blended whiskey with that much water, but for real whisky (no 'e' in real whisky), which only comes in "single malt" variety, you need a drop, maybe two. Otherwise, you just have funny tasting water.
Cask strength single malts should have water added to them.

All wrong Barney... first line should be Hepatitis and aids infected homeless man stretched out. That’s six feet.

second row should be discarded heroin needles end to end... about 36 of those.

third row should be feces on the sidewalk. What, about 25 piles?

We are talking California here. Not some civilized first world country.

You are correct. Bought a new Toyota FJ Cruiser the last year they were made. Put new tires/rims, rock sliders and stuff on it for a off road rig since the Bronco was aging. Drove to the shop one morning and came back out 30 minutes later and the damn thing would not start. Had it towed to the dealer and it cost me a couple hundred bucks to get the wire replaced. Only had 1100 miles on it and under full warranty so I argued they should cover it. They told me it happens all the time and not to worry, they stock a lot of the wires. I told them that the design sucked, never happened to my old Bronco. Could not live with an a off road 4x4 that I depend upon in the deep shit that can be disabled by a squirrel in 15-20 minutes.

Sold the piece of shit the next week and actually made money on it. Sill driving the Bronco:)
