I don't care how good their steaks are. Joe's Pizzaria and his 10 employees don't get shit and he and them(and thousands of others) will be SOL. This is reason to vote every swinging dick out of Congress in November.

Take, for example, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, which has more than 150 locations and more than 5,700 employees, and is owned by the publicly traded Ruth's Hospitality Group. The company made $42 million in profit on $468 million in revenue last year, which the company partly spent on more than $5 million dollars stock buybacks, and it has $86 million in cash reserves. Ruth's Hospitality Group successfully applied for the maximum $10 million in PPP loans for two of its properties, even as the company reports that it has furloughed a "significant number of field and home office team members."

Fuck them.

However, any publicly traded corporate entity and their lawyers are going to look for any loopholes to take advantage of, in order to enrich the shareholders.

I've become really cynical since working for a large Fortune 50 company (finally quit in March after 8 years of service).

From my experience, which admittedly is painting with a very broad brush, is that this big companies couldn't care less about employee wellfare or ethics, it's all about appeasing and enriching the shareholders.

I don't think I can work for a publicly traded company again.

PS - if you think that you need to go out to a steakhouse to get a good steak, you are doing it wrong. I haven't bought a restaurant steak in years, was tired of the disappointment and waste in $$$.

Joe's pizza doesn't contribute to campaign funds.

This should help explain why millions slipped past the small businesses.

In the suit filed on Sunday, a cybersecurity firm and event planning company accused Chase Bank of prioritizing small business borrowers who were seeking larger loan amounts rather than processing the government-sponsored loan applications on a first-come, first-serve basis as advertised.

The move meant that Chase and other banks would collect larger processing fees – nearly $6 billion in total – by frontloading the queue with businesses seeking higher loans, according to the lawsuit.

the government is inept and incapable of doing even the simplest of jobs at any level , well other than wistful spending. Is anyone really shocked that money was lost or given to anyone who was not supposed to get it ? I would not even be sort of shocked if no one got the money and somehow it all got spent or lost it surely isn't the first time and defiantly not the last .

Yep pretty sure I'm one of the ones they fucked over with this stunt. Applied first day, no updates, they literally keep sending me form emails saying I'll get status updates that day, nothing. Won't respond to emails, impossible to reach on phone.

Fuck big banks.

It happens at small companies too. You wouldn't believe the unethical shit that goes on.
