Precision Underground rear bags?

I got a elr black multicam, and though I've only got to use it once due to Neverending snow currently, it was exactly what I hoped it would be. Enough snug, and just the right give for balance.
On a "putting out something better", I know I asked, but any thoughts on progress for your ammo book? I'm not trying to bust your balls, it's just on my list of wants and I know you'll do it well. Consider me on your waiting list for when you can give the long blink head nod of approval that it is done. I won't bug you further.
For those considering black vs black multicam, the multicam is a great pattern. Some cams look tacky- this just looks good. Even helps blend my razor brown scope on the black gun.
Man the ammo book has been in the works on and off for a year. I’ve put a couple together but just haven’t done anything better than what’s out there. I’m probably being too picky, there’s only so many ways to put bullets in a book. But I have a couple of ideas to try I just need to get the time to sit down and see if they will make sense.

I've had an ELR for a few weeks & really like it, its a lot more stable than my other bags, once you get the rifle set it doesn't move, thinking about a larger bag maybe a Recon for a front bag, does the Recon have the same fill as the ELR, really like your bags.

Thank you. Makes my day to hear good reports!

Lmao. No this Is the original material I’ve always used. It has a bit of a rubber smell but not like the living inside a new shoe factory limited edition.

Whew!
I thought my limited edition was now worthless!
I haven’t noticed any smell on my regular PU bag but my sense of smell is possibly still traumatized from the limited edition STANK fill bag.

I don't mind the shoe factory smell. It is nice because I always knew if I did or didnt have it in the trunk of my car.

You guys are crazy. New shoes smell amazing. It’s akin to a new inflatable raft. I’m from Florida so most may not know what that smells like lol. That limited edition will be worth millions one day.

I couldn't resist, the recent threads I've been reading about rear bags left me feeling inadequate about the current rear bags I have. None of them are quite right. The Precision Underground ELR bag with QD tether seems to fit the bill. Lately I've been using the Traust rear bag, but the fill just doesn't feel right, it's a great size but the fill is light and "airy". As much as I wanted to like it, I just couldn't quite get 100% used to it. The PU ELR bag is going to become my new comp bag, and will reserve the Traust bag for hunting.

I got a custom Precision Underground ELR bag for the wife a little while ago, and I really like that bag. Rather then steal her pink/blue rear bag I figured I would get my own black multicam one

Right on! I saw your name come through.
I’m about to update all the pics on the site and this should be really helpful. The middle one is standard. Does that look right for you? I haven’t had to swap hardly any out but I also don’t know if people are just adjusting their bipod to make it work. Fit your bag to you not you to your bag!

I got my 3D ELR Rear bag and it is super comfortable and rock solid. Having a bag that gets the rear high enough to be comfortable is definitely something I never really thought about it and it helps a lot.

The middle one looks perfect. I'm using a JAE chassis + Ckye-pod setup, and the middle one looks like it should work just fine!

Used my 3D ELR with the new light weight fill today. I didn't think I'd like it due to the crunchy-ness of the fill...but actually using it? Man that thing rocks....and it is light weight. The 3D bag gave me a better fit on some targets than the regular ELR bag....I'll use both...but I may use the 3D ELR more.

Great!!! I just ordered both...Ordered Sat. Emailed to change the order, if possible Sun. Received a reply Sun. Will ship today, Monday...Now, that's customer service!!! :)

So looking at the site I didn't see anything for a magpul crt type stock.

The angle on the stock causes problems and I don't intend to change them all out.

Yes those stocks are more level and the prs even better.

Problem is my family has an abundant supply of carbines and the angled crt type stocks.

I get to do load development for all of them so the sliding is a problem.

You know, Sunday I shot the 300 PRC to a mile. I used my ELR bag for most things under 1k yards. I used the 3D bag for the mile shot. I didn't think about it at the time...but upon reflection....those shots were boring....maybe because the new light fill locked in that buttstock so well...I had absolutely no wiggle in the cross hairs.

Now I'm using a 3-15x Vortex Viper PST G2....so at 15x I'm not going to see the micro-shakes...but that free floating center dot stayed on that target pre-shot with ease...and only moved 1/2 mil off target with the recoil...so the hits were very easy to see.

Like I said, upon reflection...that thing was locked in nice and tight and made that shot a lot easier.

That lightweight fill locks like crazy doesn’t it?! Kinda crunchy but works well!

That’s what we are looking for!

If you have a bag that’s the correct height you should be able to stick the bottom corner of the triangle into the bag and it will be 100% solid. My brother uses one and it works well. He uses the ELr Mini but a 3d would work even better assuming one of the 3 sides is the correct height for your set up.

Have had an ELR that my wife bought me for Christmas. I can put it under my AXMC with a TBAC bipod and the thing wont fall over even when the rifle is kicked, will be ordering more bags in various sizes just to have the whole PU collection!

@Precision Underground do you have a pic of the ELR 3D bag with a ruler? Like the one you posted above.
I’ll try to grab one when I get a minute. It sits around 4-4.25 depending on how you set the stock on it. The difference is with the width dimension added you can go a lot higher by squeezing it front-to-back. You are forcing the width to turn into height. Then the fill makes it stay there easily rather than having to death grip it the whole time you shoot. You obviously have to keep your hold on it but it’s easy to make it stay where you want.

Awesome. It would be super helpful to have a pic like above and then one with someone using it. The point being the 3D looks phat (in a good way lol) but I’m curious to know how my medium-to-large sized hands will wrap around the thing.

It might save you (and me, and potentially others) on a return.

Mine came in today. I got the 3D bag and so far so good. Taking it out next week. Can’t wait to try it. Looks like quality that you would expect

My company literally started because I could not find a decent rear bag. They were all slippery and ridiculously hard to keep where I wanted them. Check out the video demo on the site and you will get a sense of how the fill works.
PrecisionUndergroundRifleGear.com

The 3D ELR uses the same fill as the one in the demo. The 3D is not a lot bigger in height and width but it has the added 3rd dimension of thickness so it’s ridic thick and stable when the stock sinks into it. I like something a little smaller so I still use the standard ELR. I’ve never had a str8 laced but I think the dimensions of the 3D are pretty close. Happy to help if you have any questions!
I just received my 3D ELR bags. All I can say is they are awesome. Great product.

Loving my 3D ELR. I used to just use the game changer as a rear bag, but I do find this worth carrying even for PRS prone stages.

Just a shout out, love my bags, top shelf for sure. But not only is Precision Underground a great SH supporter, he is a staunch supporter to the shooting sport. You probably noticed his gear on more than a few prize tables. Good guy, doing good things.
