My dog was poisoned by picking up poisoned mice he found around the yard a couple of weeks after the exterminator had been to my ex-wife's house. He was a damn good dog and very healthy, then he suddenly lost a bunch of weight, fur, and went totally blind. I put 2+2 together after talking with the kids - who mentioned he would pick up dead mice on occasion. He soon lost most motor functions and we had to go for our last walk together...…..

That's why I don't like to use poisons, way too much risk of killing other things and also contaminating the ground.
And they tend to die behind walls and rot for a few weeks and leave debris behind. Poison is a last resort in pest control when dealing with critters.
What kind of rat poison you using? Modern formulations kill in 1 feeding in about 3 days. Unless you have a very small dog a dead rodent would not have enough dosage to mess up your dog.
This is probably is the reverse of motivational and actually no joke I’m sure, but it’s a funny watch if you can slightly forget this is real world subject matters.

Back in the early '90s I had to sit in on a part of SOFA negotiations between the US and ROK in case they had technical questions. I don't know which is worse, politicians or bureaucrats. By far the most boring days of my life.
