Maggie’s Motivational Pic Thread v2.0 - - New Rules - See Post #1

This is a picture of US Navy LT. Nick Bradshaw shortly before his last flight on May 13th, 1986. Lt Bradshaw was killed after he and his pilot were forced to eject from their USN Grumman F-14 Tomcat while trying to engage an adversary aircraft during a simulated combat sortie off the coast of California. The pilot was unharmed. Unfortunately LT. Nick Bradshaw did not survive the ejection. Both Lt Bradshaw and Mitchell were quickly recovered from the Pacific waters by a Coast Guard helicopter from US Coast Guard Station San Diego.
The Board of Inquiry determined that the F-14's departure from controlled flight was induced by the disruption of air flow into the starboard engine. This disruption stalled the engine, which produced enough yaw rate to induce a spin Which was unrecoverable. There was no way the pilot could see or avoid the jetwash. The pilot's record was cleared, and was restored to flight status without further delay.

You forgot the part where they turned on their F 14’s radar while on deck and electronically castrated the entire squadron, thus allowing the entire squadron to be medically retired from the Navy at 100%.

The untold true story of a warrior and how the VA dropped the ball on his benefits. It’s a shame.

I thought I recognized that top pic and wasnt sure.

I can tell you the drop and wind hold on a deer or elk from years back.
Or what song was playing when a hottie in tight cutoffs and a tank-top asked me to dance when I was 18 on a school trip.

But Most all TV and movies escape me.

So, is there a real movie about a guy getting screwed over by the VA or just an idea?

first one is clear and present danger and I think the bottom is from breaking bad?
Not sure stole the Meme, just adding to the theme of movie characters treated as real life folks like Goose from Top Gun.(y)

For those that clicked the :( emoji - it's Top Gun (the film)

I was out and about today. Took the wife to lunch. NC is in the phase 1 reopening so no inside dining just take out but it was busy. All the social distance rules applied. Lots of traffic on the road and people were shopping at reopened stores. I'm sure once Chuck and Nancy get the feedback they will order Cooper to shut things down again...at least until November but it looked good today.

Screw the boot!! When I was maintaining 7 haul trucks, tires were very expensive!!! You get what you pay fore ... Bridgestone lasted the longest, 50,00 dollars on 6 tires, sounds about right for brand new, no retreads....

First they told us not to wear masks, it didn't help. Then they told us to wear them, cause they do help.

I see all these idiots wearing masks in their cars alone, while jogging, biking, hiking, etc. Read a story the other day about a compliant sheep that thought it was a great idea to jog several miles with a mask on. Result: a collapsed lung. But at least they didn’t catch the China virus.

What next, masks in the shower or while sleeping? Can't be too careful.

I've not worn any mask and will refuse to do so when asked.

Getting medical advice from a surgeon is always iffy, just ask any medical doctor or a nurse. Yes a virus is small, but we aren't talking about an individual virus being transferred, we are talking about aspirated droplets, which are orders of magnitude larger and are captured and fabrics and N95 masks. Otherwise, they'd wear something else in hospitals. Masks also keep you from finger banging you nose and mouth with you bugger puller that just touched everything that everyone else touched in the store. Wash or sanitize your hands after removing the mask and before you have a chance to infect yourself.
Is Doc Graham from 'Doc Hollywood' actually still around.

Masks do, however, make you touch your face much more often and cause you to rebreathe co2, which causes your cortisol (hormone) levels to rise, which weakens your immune system. He's also right about the porosity size. Your droplet of virus laden spittle can seep to the outside of the mask and spread shit there. The whole thing is an over-hyped hoax, anyway. You don't quarantine healthy people.
