Just before the shutdown in Nevada, I received a $25 Gift Card from Scheels, but could not use it as online they were out of stock (a rush on firearm related items?) and the store itself was closed and it particularly was out of stock. Finally they re-opened and I went down and waited in line #22 of what eventually grew to be even a longer line. In about 10 min. I got in and walked UP the 35 steps of the stairs next to the escalator, which I have never used ever since they opened. Personally proud of that fact. They did not have any freebie OnTarget magazines (available online anyways) and there were ribbon rails around the handgun cases (kinda like the waiting lines at Disneyland), so I went over to the ammo department where a employee gets the ammo you want. No browsing in that area. I told him I was interested in some .22 Magnum and he rattled off some brand names and I said I would like some Hornady V-tip. Two boxes of 100 rounds ran just about $25 anyways and I made up the tax in cash. Now I am just waiting for a weekday morn when I wake up early enough and don't fall back asleep and it is not too windy, nor cold to go out into the desert to go shootin'.
My in the Army son of of 19 years just bought a Mossberg shotgun for turkeys. He has already gone out twice, but as luck would have it, on successive days, he spotted some gobblers, but twice aborted to shoot because other hunters had moved near into his line of fire. However, he shootin' buddy manage to get a couple of they had some cooked turkey for several days.
Sooooo, what have you bought recently?

there was a short injunction on online ammo purchases in california and i managed to get a few cases shipped direct to my door.
didn't really need any, but never hurts to have more.
also got an old school optivisor.

I’ve been selling and buying a bunch of gun related stuff since the stay at home stuff happened. I normally travel 40 weeks per year for work, so actually being at home for 8 weeks has been a welcome change. Being home has given me the time to go through my stuff to market items I no longer need and decide what things need to be upgraded. I sold a bunch or parts, optics, guns, etc and purchased some parts, optics, and a new pistol for the wife’s birthday. Online sales seem to be generating more traffic than usual, I think many people are stuck at home bored and looking for something to play with.

Optics wise I purchased three Trijicon MRO green dot, three Trijicon RMR 06, and a LPVO. Accessories wise it was a Modlite and Streamlight rifle lights, TLR-7a pistol light, slings, another Pelican 1700 case, a couple holsters, parts to finish up projects, etc.

if i had gotten a check from the government, i would have gotten a tripod, if i could make up my mind on which one.

I sold 4:1 what I spent, I made some deep cuts and sold off a bunch of pistols that I liked but didn’t love. I used the rest of the proceeds to pay off my wife’s SUV, that way we can live cheaper if we find ourselves unemployed due to Covid.
it's nice to be out from under any payments (other than a mortgage for us).
i'd unload firearms but i am already at what i would consider a minimum, with the only "redundant" gun i own being my original P226 from the early 90s.

Ruger 10/22, Taurus Tx22, HK P30sk, mags, holsters. 22LR, 9mm, 308 ammo.

Did you know Frank Caliendo wrote a long range shooting book? Bought that, too.

Sold more bits and pieces than I bought.

Tiny bit of ammo. Some "tactical" stuff (helmet and NOD mount bits...) but almost no gun stuff. Except:

Before all the lockdowns, placed an order with a Swiss distributor for bits and pieces for my SIG 55x thing. Swiss Post fully shut down international shipping, etc. So they were boxed, my card charged and I wait, and wait, and wait. They came... yesterday. Love it!

Stocks, sling, bayp-lug, charging handle (other side). A green/gray SIG, one of my 80s kid dream guns, in my locker right now :)

I wasn't going to buy anything with the panic prices, but I stopped in the LGS last week and they had a Glock 19 MOS on sale. The price was better than pre-panic so I bought it for my granddaughter. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Can't be the law or the wife you fear..

Fess up with what you got!

Garrett Industries and I have had almost weekly talks regarding updating my holster collection with some leather lined kydex...

Of course this started that cascade...

That Hide deal was right up there with the two big boxes of M118LR I got that a member here was selling.

Liberals, everything they do backfires on them, tell us we cant go to restaurants than we spend the extra money on gun stuff - maroons.

Bought an Ed Brown SF II. Sold a 6920 and a MK5. Replaced the MK5 with another MK5. Bought a Romeo 5 and a Pelican Vault. Bought a Geissele DDC mount for my NX8. Bought some of those nifty heavy buttpad spacers for my Bravo from Snyder Precision. Bought and shot some .308 and 6.5CR. Bought a Magnetospeed Target Hit Indicator and a 2/3 IPSC. Sold a Weaver scope and a Stag AR Varmint rifle. Bought some Bore-Tech Eliminator. Bought a Timney 517.

I love being down to just the mortgage like I am now. I paid off the SUV 53 months early, the last check was $13K and it was all from selling my personal guns and accessories. I have more guns I could sell, but I met my goal so I may not worry about it. I still have some redundancies and things I don’t use, but I sold off most of the pistols I haven been using. I don’t see myself selling down to the point where I don’t have any redundancy.

^^^ Nice!

Never seen leather pattern kydex, but I don't get out much.

Garrett Industries is fantastic.

The mount options are infinite.

Pricing isn't bad either I guess for a piece of folded plastic.

My revolvers are getting the leather look. Semis get standard kydex in black or Coyote.

Finally picked up the TL-3 from the FFL Friday. Got a new .222 barrel and a 45x45 target scope a little while ago and screwed it all together yesterday. Been wanting to see how accurate a .222 is for awhile. Got some .222 ammo loaded up today and just waiting now for the local range to reopen.

Oh, and I just got a Tab Gear biathlon sling for my AR9 for my one mile daily walks to pick up my mail. Still waiting on a Vorn backpack to get here.

Used my stimulus money to buy a Rem 700 short action in the correct date range for my m40a1 build, and Redfield base/rings from 2man attack. Now if I could just afford that Unertl..

2 P Series Sig pistols (about to order a 3rd), Kestrel HUD and weathervane mount, mags, brass, ammo . . . Frank's book . . . . Fairly high end light/laser for an AR, mag extention for my Rem 870 . . . a bunch of AlienGear stuff for the Sigs, some sights, some steel targets, and probably some other stuff I can't remember. Thinking about a sight tool and another calibre for my press . . .

To summarize: Enought to likely get me killed if my wife knew all of it (one of the Sigs *is* hers, btw . . ) AKA "Too damn much"!

The good news is that neither myself or my wife have had our jobs or income affected by COVID, so being out less actually leaves me more $$$.

Kind of a boredom thing . . . :) :)

Buying as normal with the exception of the 4000 bullet case of Wolf 55 FMJ's I forgot to order when I got off travel. Now they are out of stock every where. 1600 pieces of once fired brass and only 500 55 grain bullets on the shelf.

I have a case of .45 ACP on back order. Showed in stock March 10th, wasn't.

SK match, eley match to feed the b14R barreled action that I hope gets here someday.

Few lbs of powder and bullets. Been running the Dillon a lot catching up on the 5 gallon buckets of brass that were piling up since it was .02 a round cheaper to reload last year. I wasn't going to put in the time for 223 stuff at that rate. The current .20 per round is a bit more enticing.

Looking at another reloading press for Father's Day
And my condolences to us all for the rash of tragic boating accidents that have plaqued us all. Uncanny .

Took advantage of the XLR chassis buy one get one at half off and the area 419 sale on Tenacity actions. Building a couple of prairie dog rifles.

32 lbs of powder, not hoarding. I just need to re-up on 8208 and H4350. I almost had to go back to Varget for my 223s. I got set up to load 9mm and 6 creedmoor also and bought a 6 creedmoor barrel.

Wife decided to get chickens. The deal I made(with myself) was, for every dollar I spend on building the coup and the related “chicken shit”, I can spend an equal amount on my firearm fun stuff. It is proving to be a really elaborate and expensive chicken house!😉

So far I have acquired 2000 9mm projectiles, a Kestrel, finished an AR build, purchased two handguns......wait, I think the coup needs a cupola with a solid copper weather vane!😁

SO MUCH STUFF! I have bought something most everyday I have been home. Sold some stuff too. Sold some of the stuff I bought (MPA Chassis). Parts, ammo, gear, bags, kestrel, spotting scope, soft case, tripod on order. Also just sold a Steiner Military and a nice rifle so I'm close to even minus the cost of shipping.

If you have that much in chickens you ain't doin it right but I do admire how you have your Old Lady bullshitted. I have a few chickens too so know of what I speak. Good on you.

I am going to go online and see if I can find some bullets and get them on their way.
I have a good stock now but would not mind having a few more but I ain't paying inflated prices.

I will be buying "bullets" not "Pills" Pills tend to disintegrate as soon as they leave the muzzle whereas bullets tend to stay on course.

"Pills" are medication, to my mind, and not something you try to launch out of your bullet launcher. I will stick to bullets, they seem to work much better.

Three Choate E2 AR15 A2 Stocks, three PSA A2 Buffer Tubes and assemblies, five Choate extended A2 Butt Pads, two EGW A2 Bag Riders, one Luth-AR MBA-5 Stock, four Luth-AR Chubby Grips, one S.P. Enterprises Enhanced 6.5 Grendel Extractor, one J.P Enterprises 308 Silent Captured Buffer Assembly. Assorted A2 buttplate screws, and some other small sundry fasteners.

Now all (but my M4gery) AR's are now set up as Bag Riders, replacing four M4 Collapsible stocks. All components are installed.

I figure (and hope...) the time was expended wisely.
