DIY Targets

We tried making a dueling tree, took some angle iron for the body, welded pipe for the plates to sit on, rebar bent at a 90 to sit in the pipe to swing on and we are still working on a reliable way to attach the plates to the rebar. Welding is tough on ar500 since it makes it not hard which kinda ruins the whole point of ar509

I’m a steelworker by trade so I have access to a steel shop plasma cutters etc...
This one is 3/8” ar500 I made this one to be taken apart and put in a trunk of a car . I like to look at what the manufacturers are making and duplicate it. I should cut the silhouettes out and sell them, although they are fairly heavy.

I would love to have a hostage target like that, but my little welder doesn’t have the guts to deal with material like that.

that or a rifle rated dueling tree. The “ping” is always awesome to hear, but have if a reactive target just takes the fun to a whole different level.

Couple of diy stands I made, they work great and don’t take up a lot of room in the trunk.
