Greetings all!

Been doing some 3 gun shooting lately and the match I go to has targets out to 600 yards. I know that’s not far to you guys but with that my $500 ar15 it is.... hahaha.

Anyways, this same location has a 2,00 yard range and one of the people I met let me shoot his precision rifle. It was awesome. The location hosts long range competitions as well so I have joined this forum to learn more.

Welcome to the forum Kycl. Lots of helpful folks on here, just stay respectful and avoid arguments. 😊 There is an invisible “Ignore” button right next to the “Reply” button, my advice is to use it well.

I have a buddy who shoots a custom AR15 at 600, and he hangs with the bolt guns. JP Enterprises components i believe, then optimized, and high BC bullets that look like sharp pencils. Not a cheap setup, but superb accuracy.

You are very lucky to have a 2,000 yard range sir. That alone is reason enough to build a 30 PRC or a 30 Norma Mag. Have fun!
