6.5 bullet options

I talked to berger staff recently and was under the impression thier hybrids were specifically designed to work at mag lenght.

I was under the impression that was what brian litz did.

I was told the 130 hybrid would work in my ar 15 @ (2.25) aol.

And plan on loading them and 135g hybrid hunters for my gendel.

Are you using load data from berger?

Sierra 130 TMK
Sierra 130 pointed Matchking
Norma 130 Golden Target
Sierra 140 Matchking
Hornady 140 BTHP

Also, any "hybrid" should do well in a mag-length restricted platform. Where you will have plenty of jump.

So, Berger "AR 130 Hybrid" would obviously be a great choice.

I wanted to copy my bolt gun 130 hybrid AR load to an ar10. I do have the Berger book. Fine with changing to a different bullet especially if something like 123eldm or 120 s

Your available magazine length is shorter you will have to stay within but the hybrids are jump tolerant.

You just have to adjust, let it run and see.

We have a tactical bolt gun that has ar 10 size magazine and similar chamber.

Eld and vld don't work well.
Back to tangent ogive and hybrids for it. Cant wait to get hybrids for that gun. The 168g smk's are great till about 800 yd and they are tangent's.

In fact I'm dumping eld from inventory for a lot of guns at the moment.

You will probably have to do load development for the ar anyway.

Matching oal, headspace, powder in both guns is a cool thing but one may not be maxed out.

If I were well off I would try matched barrels and chambers just because,
But probably not practical.
