Harold Schlumberg, a retiree. We should all be like Harold!

QUOTE FROM HAROLD SCHLUMBERG :

"I've often been asked, 'What do you old folks do now that you're retired?' Well, I stay active and happy I'm fortunate to have a PHD in chemical engineering and one of the things I enjoy most is converting Beer, Manhattans and Scotch into urine. Then, I take a jog out to the shed and piss on pictures of Maxine Waters, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Elizabeth Warren, Chuck Schumer & Diane Feinstein!
I do this several times every day. I really enjoy it and get my exercise too!"

Harold is an inspiration!

Cheers,

Notice how when Bill Maher said he was a proud liberal they're only a few claps and cheers... LOL
Mahr is more of a classic liberal, surprisingly not one of the complete batshit crazy communist libtards.

I have a cat that was abandoned and about 3 months old when I found him and brought him home. He was limping and skinny but very friendly.

He would make off with small bags of chips, treats or anything else you left out on the kitchen counter LOL. He is super cool and very smart but he never forgot his time on the streets scrounging food 😎

He can look at you in a very judgmental way too LOL

Well I have found a nice WWII era Gillette Tech, 3 piece ball end razor. $35 worth of pure history. It’s on the way...

Notice the shallow triangle shaped slots in the base plate. This and lack of a logo on the top cap is how you know a ‘46 and older Tech.

They are supposed to be superb. I like holding American history in my hands.

Same guy had a 1954 Tech in great condition for the princely sum of $20. The 1947 and later have a different baseplate, reportedly milder, and logo etched on the cap.

I wanted a 46 and older and a 47 and later to compare.

Porportedly, isn't the mask not for personal protection but to limit the spread of the virus to others? Notwithstanding the case for social distancing, doesn't a mask or any cover reduce the number and distance of particulates should someone sneeze or cough? A little better than sneezing into one's armpit. The President is wearing them now.

BTW - The efficacy and availability of flu shot vaccines is well known and people still refuse them.

No. The mask is for controlled fear mongering. If the mask works, the only people that need to wear a mask are those that are susceptible. If somebody has no ability to transmit then those people don't need masks.

Yes the flu shot exists and people still get the flu. Some people even get the flu is a direct result of the flu shot

@seanh - how does one end up with a live virus inside of them from getting contact with the dead virus?

Can you list one example of a person who got the flu shot, zero exposure to any flu, and then tested positive for the flu?

Im not advocating that the flu shot is good or that useful.
Just heard that a lot of times and still have not heard a scientifically sound explanation.

Lots of people feel crummy after a flu shot. Its their immune system kicking in and building antibodies for the weird and foreign stuff just pumped into their bodies.

And yes, this COVID thing is insane and crazy.
Most everyone is having a knee jerk reaction that is to the extreme. On both sides of the equation.

" The President is wearing a mask because of political fallout, not because it works." - So the President is a sheep, pandering, drinking the kool-aid, etc.?
" The mask is for controlled fear mongering." - And the continual criticism of mask proponents or someone challenging the posting is not, it's all fake news, the deaths are exaggerated, not enough illnesses and death to matter?
"If somebody has no ability to transmit then those people don't need masks." How do you identify individuals unable to transmit the virus versus those that are not, maybe a transmitter wears, or not, a red and yellow corona label?

"Most everyone is having a knee jerk reaction that is to the extreme. On both sides of the equation." (y)(y)(y)

Sorry guys, I know my comments are not "motivating" but people keep posting adverse "propaganda" and if anyone doesn't agree the stoning begins. It makes me suspect that Chinese, Iranians, etc., are trying to get us to go at each others throats. (I didn't mention Russia.:censored:)

As it was suggested, bring it to the Bear Pit. People there like to discuss controversial things.

How does one get the flu from a dead virus... LOL it's not always dead.

1 case? No but maybe a few dozen. How about people having zero symptoms whatsoever even the morning of getting a flu shot... Get the shot by evening feeling like crap next day sick

Please do tell me about your knowledge and expertise in human vaccinations.

I am not an expert, though have a tad bit of experience and knowledge.

Flu vaccines are made with dead flu or with a gene from a virus to build immunity, but not able to infect.

And yes, I get the shot (federal mandate) and have gotten the flu the same year.

Not convinced they are overly useful and would love to know what you actually know beyond the tinfoil that is science.

I currently have 10 layers of Kirkland Heavy Duty Commercial Grade foil tucked up in my Colorado Rockies ball cap, besides the titanium “topper” I had placed beneath my scalp years ago to keep them from stealing my thoughts.

Im no stranger to no believing what the govt says and rarely do.
Just curious on this.

Oh crap, not motivational. Off to the Pit we shall go!!

I realize this is water vapor but the masks really don’t do much to keep virus particles out of the air if you’re contagious. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had it, I don’t want it again, but the masks are BS.

Combine this leakage with less than proper handling of the masks with hands plus the negative effects breathing warm moist exhaled breath back in and they may be more harmful than benign.

I’m not a doctor, but as I understand it without sleeping at a holiday m-inn.

You are getting last seasons dead flu or a historical blend of dead flu’s which they think will protect you against the next one. It mutates over time so you’re not 100% protected just have better immunity than no exposure.

@Lawless

Talk about the size of vapor vs the average spit/spray droplet.
Spit or mucous coming out of your nose or mouth is trapped by that mask (its science), not escaping to the sides.
Looks like that person took a huge breath in of a vape device and exhaled.

Then look into contact vs droplet vs airborne precautions for illnesses.

People dont cough up just 1 virus particle. Its part of fluid or mucous being expectorated.

Im no koolaid drinker (unless there is a good bourbon named Koolaid), and I do know a thing or two about the medicine side.
Including having been directly exposed to HIV, the Hep crew, and TB.

Correct. Dead being the key part.

Only dead stuff I am into is communists, traitors, and animals I am about to eat.

Found a bunch of Virginia Creeper vine in a shrub bed today at a rental house and went about pulling it all out. I froze when I saw 3 leaves mixed in, in one little place. Upon closer examination it appears Virginia Creeper can have sections with 3 leaves instead of 5 and mimics Poison Ivy pretty well at first blush.

I’ve never seen this before. Pretty cool.
