Trimm to lenght inconsistent

Just finished trimming with Lee and measure 2.005" but not allround, there is a difference +- .001", it appears to be at an angle, is that in tolerance or ?

So it’s less than a half the thickness of a hair and your worried?

I trim with a Wilson trimmer that I am quite pleased with. When I check/measure freshly trimmed brass with my calipers, I can see via caliper measurement and feel a high spot when I rotate the brass and make multiple measurements. I chalk it up to "nothing I can do about it" and I've never seen any indication that it makes any difference, particularly in the 'thou range. Which by the way, is about what I measure.

Does it affect to neck tension ?

No it doesn’t. Neck tension is defined as the relationship between the diameter of the bullet and the inside diameter of the neck.

Neck length is a different discussion.

1 thou is right about a gnats ass tolerance for trim. I think you are confusing bullet pull and neck tension. If you had a large difference you would probably see dispersion depending on ability to group well enough or at considerable range.

Just as an FYI, +/- .001" is the accuracy limit for a high end caliper like Mitutoyo.
