I’m looking for a nice scope for my new FX Impact airgun. What do you guys have or can recommend that is FFP, has zero stop and IR. Preferably less than $1k.

I have a Athlon Midas Tac for my other airgun and really like it but no IR.

Thanks in advance!

I have the Element Nexus and I like it a lot. I have yet to test their other product lines, so I can't have much of an opinion. The prototypes looked good. Helix and Titan are made in China. Nexus is made in Japan.

The Nexus spent a lot of time on my FX Dreamline and it was a really good fit. It is on a centerfire now, but I might move it back to the airgun at some point.

In the $1k range, there aren't all that many options that focus down to 10 yards. Sightron S-Tac 4-20x50 does. FOV is a little narrow, but it is a pretty solid scope otherwise.

SWFA 3-15x42 focus down to less than that, but it is not illuminated.

SwampFox Kentucky Long focuses down to 10 yards. It is made in China, but I liked the design overall.

Upcoming SwampFox Warhawk also focuses down to 10 yards.

US Optics TS-20 focus down to 10 yards, but I have not tested it yet. I am looking at the TS-12 and like it, but I am not sure that is relevant.

Awesome info! Thanks for the details and insight.

25 yards parallax would work too...Doing more research

The Element Nexus would be ideal. Trying to find a good deal in it

I've got a Hawke Frontier on my FX wildcat and it's pretty nice especially for the price. I also run a Sightron s3 on my Pulsar and it's nothing to sneeze at either. On my Cloud Ultra I'm rocking the Tango 6 and it's a whole different level.

Sounds good.

Btw I received that Warne mount you shipped to me. Going to be using it soon. 👍

Purchased and tested the Element Optics Titan...so very disappointed. Maybe I got a dud? Maybe should have went with the Nexus? But difficult for me to spend $1500 on something so new with no rep and history.
So far the Athlon Midas Tac 6-24x50 is my go to with 10yard parallax

That's the 2nd time I've read about people being disappointed with the Titan! Maybe a bad shipment??

As you now know it's VERY hard to beat the Midas TAC for the price!

If you can live with 25Y focus the Athlon ETR is as good as it gets for the price/$1050-ish. The Ares BTR G2 not far behind. I have to go down to 10x to get them reasonably clear for 20 yards.

Or find a used March 3-24x52 for its 10Y focus but you'll have to stretch your budget. I like their FML-T1 reticle.

Appreciate it Steve! I have been eyeing the Ares ETR and BTR and glad you also suggested them. Will check out the March too. Thumbs up

Great scope for an air rifle. I'm using the finer FMA2 reticle; tried the FML and found the dot just too big for close paper punching.
(Wish the Midas TAC were illuminated, I'd go with it.)

What do you find disappointing about the Titan. I’ve had mine out to a couple range sessions on a 22 and have no complaints so far. Tracking seems good, glass is good, focuses spot on for me on steel targets.

Scope is unusable. Parallax adjustment does not function correctly and cannot match the correct focal plane. No matter how I attempt to correct the parallax not only i get a reticle shift but I receive a very faint reticle. Diopter is set. Illumination makes it even more unusable. I contacted Element Optics and they confirmed it’s not right and were very nice of the situation, but imo as a new company their first batches of their scopes should be spot on. They claim to have a stringent QA inspection with QA tag before it gets sent to us but doesn’t look like it’s working.
