Anyone have one that could give a review or feedback?

Looks like a great little plinker/fun gun that I don’t need to buy accessories since it uses 10/22 mags. And .22LR is a lot cheaper.

I have been waiting for these to hit the shelves but haven’t seen any around.
I emailed them when they first announced them and POF was very responsive. Maybe email them and see if they are out yet. The C-19 might have screwed up the release time frame but who knows.

Found a place local to me. They want 599.00 I was hoping for closer to 500 but still might buy it. Looks like a fun gun

If you get give us a review, I was gonna use part of my Trump money for it
Will do. Have a work "bonus" coming at the end of May so I might hold out till then and pick it up then. We will see how patient I am.

A local store has 1 review posted about it and the guy says it won’t cycle.
here’s a screen shot

I will be curious to see what the recommendations are from POF regarding ammo selection. I am still shocked how well my S&W MP22 runs considering I shoot it suppressed (SilencerCo Sparrow) and don’t really clean it. I will be all in for picking one up once a few reviews pop up.

Said screw it. Emailed POF and asked about the issues with the guns and they said they would take care of me if anything was wrong.

went and bought one today. Range report won’t be till next week hopefully.

Some observations

1. there is a rubber bumper on the back of the bolt. Hopefully this makes it quieter and reduces wear and tear on it.

2 bolt handle is held in with a detent so you just pull and it will come out. Hopefully it stays in when bouncing around in the truck or 4 wheeler

3. No feed ramps into the chamber

4. Firing it with dry wall anchors shows the trigger is mil spec and needs to be replaced.
5. Handguard has a small bump up front like a grip stop that is pretty comfortable without being too large

6. Arm brace needs to be replaced with something that can be adjusted faster or figure out a thumbscrew for the set screw on the bottom.

I think a 1-4 or 1-6 will be put on it but I might drop a higher magnification scope to test out the accuracy for it.

so far I am impressed and excited. Hopefully it lives up to the expectations and hype.

Heard back from POF....

You can dry fire it no problem.
Hopefully this weekend or Monday I will get it tested out. Eventually I will scope it for accuracy but the red dot was in the safe sitting so I threw it on there

Small range report.
Need CCi mini mags or some high velocity to break it in.
I was using a mixture of Winchester bulk and some other bulk pack and I was getting extraction but the bolt failed to reset the hammer on the trigger (POF 3.5lb).
I was also getting some excessive drag on my 10round magazine from the bolt but seemed ok with 15 round stick mag.

POF recommend a few hundred rounds of high velocity to break it in and I will go pick some up this week.

It got better as the mags went a long but still couldn’t get through a full mag without issues.
Not too worried yet until I try high velocity.

will update with week

Another update:

Last night I took it apart and wiped it down getting off a lot of the oil that was on it (note: the manual says to keep it lubed liberally).
Loaded up 5 rounds of Eley action in a newer 10 round mag. Shot it into the dirt and it worked perfectly.

today I took the kids out to shoot before dinner and only had a short time and I loaded up 25 rounds (federal auto match) in a butler creek steel lips magazine, 15 rounds Eley action in a ruger OEM 15 round mag, 10 rounds federal auto match in OEM rotary mag.
Began shooting with the 25 round mag and it didn’t miss a beat. Everything cycled and fed no problem.
I decided to tempt fate and put the 15 round mag in and it worked perfectly.

at that point my oldest wanted to shoot it and I was relegated to ammo loader and he ended up shooting 100+ more rounds before the bugs are us alive.

The gun worked flawlessly and I probably am going to have to let my oldest shoot it every time we go out.

accuracy was ok I guess. Minute of pop can at 50 yards with bulk ammo and red dot.

I loaded up 5 rounds Eley action and tried shooting it from the bench at 50 and I got horizontal spread about 2.5”. I will probably put one of my higher power scopes on it for a range trip to test out the accuracy for curiosities sake.

overall now that it’s working and running well I bet it will be a big hit every time I go shooting.

probably need a binary trigger one of these days.

More updates for those who care.

Took it out again today with a bunch more rimfires.

Almost 500 rounds through it today without a hiccup. All suppressed and I haven’t cleaned it for ~ 650 rounds. Just going to keep rolling with it until I have to clean it.

POF is sending me a new spring or something that should help with reliability when shooting lighter loads (my Eley Action which is standard velocity was perfect today as well with reliability).

Accuracy ....... this is where I am struggling. I need to test more ammo. Dropped a 4-16 power scope on it and at 48 yards (didn’t feel like moving my shooting table and all my crap to get to 50 yards), this gun shoots minute of pop can or minute of clay pigeon. Maybe I have higher expectations out of a short barrel but I was hoping 1-1.5” @ 50 yards. Maybe some of you with Ruger chargers can comment on the accuracy at 50 yards.

My oldest boy loves this gun. Minute of pop can is good enough for him. We set up a ton of empty can and he loved the 25 round magazine and knocking them over.

Overall 7/10 for now. If I can find ammo it like for accuracy then it would be a 10/10.

Later I will attach a photo of a 15 round group from today

Not yet. Just picked up a new trigger but it’s a single stage from trigger tech or whatever it’s called and has a trigger shoe on it.
Debating on a binary trigger for this or for a 10/22.

How is the gun performing now? Were you able to get any better accuracy? I'm very interested in this one to shoot suppressed. Thanks.

nothing right now.
Got to find a new place to shoot. They closed down where I go to shoot because of wildfires.
I will say that if it doesn’t shoot better, POF already said they would look it over.

I am going to test it out unsuppressed with all my ammo off of sandbags with probably my 4.5-27 Athlon to make sure it’s not me.

i seen they added a booster to them and there is a few on GB.

Hopefully Wednesday.
Took the family fishing and hiking last weekend and didn’t get a chance to fit shooting in with all the crap going on.

going to try and get off work early Wednesday so if I have to ship it back then I can do that sooner than later.

My POF contact has been fast on the response and only the accuracy is where I have a concern right now.

Ok.
Went out this morning. 80-95* before I called it quits.

The good.
Suppressed or unsuppressed it cycled every different type of ammo I put in it.

The Bad-

brief moments of decent accuracy was ruined by fliers. Didn’t matter the ammo or magazine choice. Shot it all unsuppressed

pictures attached to show what I mean

Might go test more ammo in the morning so I decided to pull the barrel and see how it’s attached.

You have 4 screws on the side of the receiver that hold the barrel and “Barrel shank Sleeve” as I will call it.

This sleeve has 4 screw holes for the receiver to hold it tight and then it has a drift pin that holds the barrel indexed properly

The barrel shank is about the same diameter as a CZ457 barrel (couldn’t find my calipers to measure) but has a flat spot on it as well as the shank is shorter on the POF.

If someone has some skill they could probably get a CZ or a 10/22 barrel machined to fit the barrel.

Any ways.

I scrubbed the chamber and cleaned the barrel.

One side note: Whatever nitride process they use makes cleaning the bolt super nice. I got most 95% of the gunk off the bolt with just a dry paper towel.

Pictures of course

Took it out this morning.

Boringly reliable. Shot another 2-300 rounds and had 0 issues

Groups seem to be a little better today.

Maybe the deep cleaning helped it or maybe more rounds down the barrel are helping

Here’s the best group do the day from the POF

need a sense of scale to determine if poor or ok. may i ask what is the dia. of that circle.

I'm taking a look at one of these... sounds like the reliability and accuracy may not make it appropriate for true home defense... but for training purposes, would you recommend this gun?

Will grab it when I get home.

Accuracy sucks compared to my Tikka T1x, Cz 455 or 457, kidd barreled 10/22, etc....

I am guessing the best new group was just under 2” at 50 yards for 10-15 rounds (forgot which mag it was) and it was shooting Eley Action ammo (my decent priced mid grade ammo).

Before I was lucky to get it below 3” so getting to 2” or better gives me hope.

Ideally I would have loved 1” @ 50 for 5 shots but that still is proving impossible. But if the barrel gets better with time we will see.

I wouldn’t use it for a home defense unless it was against a bunch of squirrels eating your birdseed.

Mine has been super reliable since the first outing (with or without a suppressor or booster)

Accuracy has been an issue at 50 yards imho.

Here is a tape with the best group from the POF today

Looks good enough for me, should be a great training gun. I’m going with 300 Blackout PDW for home defense.

That also is a good point.

My kids love shooting this pistol.

It’s the most used one on outings.

Maybe mine is lucky but all magazines I have tried

4-5 ruger 10rounders
1 ruger 15 rounder
1 ruger 25 rounds
1 butler creek steel lip 25 rounder
1 butler creek plastic lip 25 rounds

They all work just fine.

Glad to hear that - there are some reviews out there complaining about jams and extraction issues

I was worried about it after reading the 2 reviews on sportsman’s warehouse website.

My first outing went horrible but I had it really lubed up. I wiped it down and it’s ran like a champ since. No issues with ammo or magazines.

It must be a common problem because they sent me a booster for the end. I have shot it with a suppressor, without a suppressor and with a booster and it all works the same (although I probably have over 1,000 rounds through it though).

How’s that stock? Looks pretty shitty from what I can see. Seems more comfortable to use it off the shoulder than on.

Have you shot some groups after cleaning the gun?

I did. Best group was just under 2” outside to outside at 50 yards.... don’t remember if it was 5 rounds or 10 rounds on that group.

Hoping to get up on Saturday and beat the heat and other shooters.

That was prone off of sandbags.

I will post some more pics if I go on Saturday.

More groups.

shot 200-300 more rounds and only had one weird jam where the shell from the last round got stuck and held the bolt back

image.jpg

I swear I’m the only one with one.

going tomorrow I think again.
Cycles perfect.
accuracy is still minute of pop can at 50 yards

I bought one. Came into my FFL today. Took it out of the box, shot 100 rounds of Stinger ammunition out of it. Shot it slow, shot it fast, it functioned flawlessly.. Seems very well made.
