Grunt Style - marketing rip off

Grunt Style clothing company sent me a 15% off your next order coupon through email, and I thought, good, I want some of their shirts (I have bought some before). So I went and picked out 3 (the “range day” shirt $21, the Sherman tank shirt $25, and an Army shirt $25). Cool products.
I go to check out and the 15% off is only good on 1 lowest priced item. NO WHERE on the email does that little bit of honesty show up. So the coupon would save me $3 total, and I still got to pay shipping. $3 friggin’ dollars!

I assumed . . . . Yeah, yeah, I know . . . . It was 15% off the whole order, but no, it was a total of $3 savings. They tricked me.
Angry, I trashed the order. I thought Grunt Style had more class than that, but I guess not.

I am tired of companies thinking marketing slight of hand is ok. It’s not. It’s low ethics and basically an attempt to sucker people.
What do you guys think?

UPDATE:
Here is the total text from the add. No small fine print, just this.

I called them today, because myronman3 below said I should give them a chance and not just complain. Made since.

So I called them on my lunch hour and got a nice intelligent customer service person named Alexandra. I told her about the email and feeling like they tried to sucker me. She apologized and asked me what I ordered, then told me "Oh yes, well our discounts don't apply to any LICENSED items. Meaning anything from the armed forces or any associated companies. Only our original items. Sorry."
I told her it doesn't say that ANYWHERE on the email. She was nice and apologized again. I asked her if they would cover shipping to make up for the false advertising. She said, "Sorry we don't do free shipping." Rather than yell at the customer service peeps who are not responsible for the Marketing departments lies. I thanked her told her to have a good day.
Alexandra = nice person Grunt Style marketing team, can SUUUUUUCK IT. My money will go to overpriced ammo evidently, and never again to Grunt Style.

I can say for certain that people like my wife do not pay any attention to fine print. I have wasted more money on sales and deals that she has misunderstood because the intentions of those deals was to catch people that don't treat deals and coupons like reading a law book before they buy, that yes, I am angry with how confusing businesses make these things just to sucker people in.

That said, shame on the buyer for not paying attention before they click pay now (good thing you caught it)
Nothing you can do

unfortunately, we have to review the ENTIRE order before we hit 'click' these days, and do the math for what the total should be. marketing has always been sleight of hand (so, you're a bullsh1t artist...) and i guess these companies are proud they pull one over on us, but i for one don't go back to companies that blatantly mislead their proposed customers.

well, i’ll bite.

i like the way the shirts fit. i havent found anything similar. i do prefer the plain ones without stuff on them.

my biggest complaint is the use of the cross rifles on their logo. i think it’s fine if your infantry. but any other MOS or civilian wearing them; i dont understand why you would want to. let me put it this way.....if it was the same exact deal but instead of the cross rifles, it was crossed pistols (mp), i’d have zero interest in wearing them, no matter how they fit. it simply wouldnt happen.

when they first come out, it was primarily an infantry driven thing. then i started seeing that change. now, i am seeing a lot of people who arent even veterans wearing them.

to the OP....if it bothered you that much....did you call them? see what they had to say? give them the chance to unfuck it? i mean, i can see cancelling the order and moving on. but coming here and posting a complaint about it tells me you dont want to just move on. so why not call them and address it first? honestly asking.

The funny thing is that 99% of Navy vets weren't SEALs or FMF Hospital Corpsmen don't have a fucking clue what a nine-line brief is. I certainly don't.

That shit doesn't exist on a ship. You treat your casualties on board. And if they need to be medevac'd out, the corpsman on board takes care of that medical shit ahead of time and the CIC and flight deck crew gets the helo in the air.

I wear nine line. And really don't give a fuck what anyone thinks about it, either. I was a wrench in the Army back in the 80's. Never saw 1 day of anything other than oil filters and broken shit, let alone any form of combat. Main reason I started buying them is a co-worker is related to one of the owners. BTW: at 5' 11" and 180lbs., I wear my size of XL...not little brother or XXXXL.

I’m finally a 1%er. I thought it would be more rewarding. Still sucks. Lol.

What you poors really need is the new GBPSE labeled shirts that are $200 per shirt. They even have an emblem on the shirt tail that has the price encoded on it to show its authetic as well as to let all the poors know you can pay $200 for a t shirt because you're not poor due to not making lifelong poor people decisions.

If that doesnt interest you, well....

I will call them and see what they say. I’ll admit, I definitely thought it was purposefully underhanded, but I should give them a chance. They will probably give me the corporate line, but, I’ll let you guys know!

I only wear Tommy Hilfiger bold strip shirts with salmon colored shorts to my local range. Of course I get the long sleave ones so I can roll the sleaves up ever so perfectly. Then I take 30 min to get set up because I'm shooting elite HK and CZ pistols and need to make sure all of my accessories are ready for testing to see which one makes my penis larger. I look at all the other range bros wearing their gun shirts to the gun range and laugh at how cliche they are.

Same goes for guys who wear band shirts to concerts... I wear only Grunt Style shirts to concerts and make sure I buy the biggest can of Miller Lite they sell. And if for some ungodly reason they don't sell the 24 oz Miller Lite cans and I have to get one of the local IPAs, I only get one with some kind of "executioner" sort of name because that makes my penis larger. And I look at all the other concert bros wearing their band shirts to a concert and laugh at how cliche they are.

I see your 5% on the lowest price item and raise you the Primary Arms sale page. Now, PA is local to me and I buy a lot of stuff from them, and they’re the one “good” gun store in the area. But, their sale page is sometimes a joke. For example...

$0.77 off of a $350.77 mount? I‘d like to say that this is an anomaly, but it is quite often that their sale page is filled with items listed with the “change” being the difference in price.

Lol. Was kewl when no one knew about them or had them. Now that you see them in airports they're lame! :ROFLMAO:

@Redmanss right. If you had a hair on your ass you'd be wearing truly offensive T-shirts that would make women shield their kids from you.

Do you walk into Starbucks wearing GS tees and carrying one of these?

Coin shortage, dontcha know?

I don’t know anything about the coupon code the OP is referring to but I do know they like to state that their shirts are “proudly printed in the US” or something like that. Which obviously means the actual shirt is not made in the USA. With that said, I have a few of their basic shirts. I like the fit. If they would dump the logo on the one sleeve they’d be better. I’ve never tried to collect on their lifetime guarantee.

Everybody wants to dress like a grunt, but rare is the man who actually is/was a grunt.

Poser fags.
Lol! Only here would someone make that statement. Far from rare, I'm pretty sure that 11s and 03s are the easiest to get into and the most numerous and common soldiers that there are. I certainly do NOT want to dress like a grunt, either at their work or on liberty (especially not on liberty!). The fashion sense is somewhere between ghetto-trailer-farm and full retard. You know who you are, and you know how you dressed!

One trip to the e-club on base is all you need to abuse yourself of the notion you might want to dress like a grunt!

Shit, I’ve seen worse out of pogues than grunts, for some reason they believe going out requires eighteen squirts of Drakkar Noir and four ounces of hair gel, never mind the manicures and eyebrow waxing they have done. But agree all boots have zero fashion sense and think bitches are attracted to someone rocking the jungles with jeans tucked into them at the mall.

IDGAF, I have a few and the "Aloha Snackbar" shirt with the guy fucking a goat about to get smoked by an A10 is my favorite because I like the look on peoples faces. Especially surrounded by libtards.

I rather enjoy shirts that get a reaction. Good or bad. It makes life interesting.

Some of us are former "grunts by association" as well (field radio operators for example)...
