Because you might want to pull it off for cleaning??? My Jet Blasts go on and stay on with just a little torque from a wrench...I could not fathom using loctite on them.
Well, that would be a concern with any brake, so with that logic, no one would ever loctite a brake (and that sure aint true).DO NOT DO THIS. You will want to take it off to clean it and the crown. Loctite would be a horrible idea.
Interesting. On a different forum the advice was torque only if not a suppressor host, however, if a suppressor host absolutely rocksett. What do others do?Why ask the question if you don’t like the answer? I have only ever torqued mine, and all my brakes are suppressor hosts. Zero issues.
Because im asking for this specific case of a self-timing brake, not brakes in general - the advice to not apply any loctite across the board, without consideration of type or use, is asinine. Why ask the question if you don’t like the answer? I have only ever torqued mine, and all my brakes are suppressor hosts. Zero issues.
