Why Mask Wearing is my Civic Duty

I wear a mask on my dick.

Funny story. Back at the beginning of the scamdemic, random skanks who’d let you hit it bareback on the first “date” became mask nazis. I still laugh about that.

Rona shut off pussy for like two whole weeks back in March.

Dude you are the collateral damage I advocate for.

I am not without sympathy I grieve for anyone that has lost a family member to the China Flu but at this point the restauranteurs, the small business owners, those that were depending on a summer of tourists to ensure their livelihood and yes, those like your self, that bring companionship to the loose skanks of the world, have been. through no decision of their own, prevented from bringing their unique contributions to a vibrant world.

I resist the dystopian world view of the Covid 19 scare mongers

Sound track to my post....play as you read.

You realize elections come every four years pal? Those will be in my safe for years to come.
If you think the Dems won’t ever take back the White House and senate and house you’re a fool.
So you did purchase guns and mags to make a profit.....get the fuck out of this forum.....

People like you are worse then democrats, someone who would fuck over someone to make a buck...

Doc

That’s odd- I thought that’s what the gun business was, making a profit on guns. I suppose they’ll do it as a favor for you from now on.
Funny comment coming from someone that claims to value capitalism and American values.

while i am not accusing anyone of anything, there may be a distinction between capitalism and profiteering.

Considering the number of people that have called me a moron for doing it, should I not be rewarded for taking a risk in what I perceive as an opportunity? That is capitalism in my book.
If I’m wrong and lose money I’m a moron, but if I’m right, I’m gouging and an asshole? Doesn’t make sense to me.

When did you ever state you are a gun dealer, no you stated that you bought all these guns and mags in the past 6 months. Then went on to say they would be in your safe when the dems took over.

That means you arent a gun enthusiast or a shooter or hunter. That makes you a piece of shit in my book.

Same type of person who would buy all available toilet paper or hand sanitizer to create a false shortage......

Now fuck off asshole. You have outed yourself as a piece of shit on this forum.

At this point I wouldn't even piss on you if you were on fire.....

Not really. Demand can drive supply, so his current buying could lead to capital improvements in these shops and better capacity in the future. Good for all of us. It is a mistake to get all moralistic about commerce, though doing so is one thing that separates trumpsters from conservatives.

Profiting from firearms...no problem.

Hedging bets on further restricrions to natural rights to turn profit. Not so much.

Lets not conflate and just own it. Id respect that more tbh.

A persons true civic duty is to be skeptical and question everything their Govt tells them. This goes triple for any situation that becomes political.

Germans thought it was their civic duty to hate Jews and support their being removed from society.

You have the right to feel as you do. You do not have the right to make me agree. JMHO

perhaps, but i still believe there can be exceptions.
for instance, selling masks while helping to cause unreasonable fear, in essence creating the demand?

virtue signaling is the wrong term for this, jmo, but you may call it whatever they want.

#1 reason people wear masks?

they don't know any better.
My calling him out for virtue signaling has nothing to do with him wearing a mask. It has everything to do with him creating a thread of how it’s his, and therefore ours in some way, civic duty to wear one because he is both clueless and yet smarter and more caring than the rest of us. That is virtue signaling, aka attention whoring.

I have no clue if masks work or how effective they are...
I am a healthy 32 year old, I’m not afraid of the virus. (My dad did was infected in April, and got pneumonia on both lungs, still has effect on his health). I do think it’s very real.
I wear a mask as a sign of gratitude for my health, to pay it forward to those that are less fortunate.
I wear it to show my solidarity with the Health care workers who are sacrificing so much to help people survive serious illness, and to those who can’t get procedures done because hospitals are overflowing.
I wear it so I don’t scare the shit out of the little old lady at the store, and make her feel comfortable being out of her house .
I wear it to share in the plight the millions of people that lost their income due to the governments forced closure of their business, in their desperate attempt to slow the spread.
I wear it to do whatever I can to chip in, even if it isn’t effective. It’s an emblem of caring about others besides myself, and that I am only one of many and not important.
I will continue to wear it regardless of mandates or not, because I believe it is my civic duty.

stay safe and healthy, god bless.

So you admit that you are wearing it for basically any other reason besides the only reason you could possibly be justified in wearing one. If you believed that it worked, you would be wrong, per the data, but I could understand it.
Instead, you admit that you are wearing it because you are a self-righteous pussy.

People who still think the masks that are being worn are affecting the numbers of Covid cases....well shit...i can't say that, cause there is a huge spike in bacterial pneumonia from wearing dirty masks....which....yeah...hell...COVID! Pneumonia, covid, same thing when there is important work to do. Whew.
Anyway.....if you think that mask is even protecting you from dust, let alone virus and bacteria...you are fucking retarded, and that IS settled science....hell its not even complicated, super duper doctor level science, its fucking 8th grade earth science complicated......but im betting they dont teach 8th graders earth science anymore, the laws of thermodynamics and shit, simply laws of physics.....ok...ill have to adjust again....if you think the maskturbation is settled good science, you might not be as smart as a 1980s eighth grader.
Now what was I rambling about.....?
Oh yeah...
Half the people everywhere, are fucking retards, while a survey reveals 90% of people, think they are above average intelligence. Unfortunately, somehow, the fucking lower half of the curve is running the show, and having answered they are above average, they really believe their bullshit.
I am in the 90% who think they have above average intelligence. I wonder if I actually make the 51% cut?

Sure. But in general profiteering has been a net positive, even though it has an ugly smell. Scamming is clearly different. Speculation, however, is necessary in every economy and a very good thing.

Finally, one could argue that the surge in gun buying is a bulwark against bad policy as it makes politicians unsure of the outcomes of their laws. It really doesn’t matter who or why is buying in this instance.

mostly i agree, but i am not sure about the last part.
while i generally encourage gun ownership, simply because perhaps it means more people that want to protect their rights to own them, i cannot categorically say that everyone that has a gun should have a gun, or that everyone that sells a gun sells them to somebody that should have one.
maybe that makes be a bad guy, but there it is.

Well, I will tell that this is how I see the mask issue in general. First and foremost it is a personal decision. The attempt to "communize" it, that you are doing it for your neighbor, was a fraud. I keep mine in my car. If I need to go into a store, it goes on, when I come out, it comes off. I haven't been to a restaurant for a few years, so I don't know how that part works.

A proposition that is, perhaps a better way to look at masks: All things being equal, the wearing of masks is helpful in keeping down the spread of covid. However, if wearing a mask causes the wearer to act more recklessly in other ways, the utility of the mask is highly diminished and can even become a negative.
Such utter bullshit.

Which part?
The whole last paragraph. They do nothing. I can literally send you 100 studies that show otherwise. All the pro mask reports you see can’t back them up. The reports the reports the cdc has put out contradict their own recommendations. They cite many many studies throughout their site that say masks do nothing except cause a potential for increased spread due to mishandling. Same for thr WHO. Same for the NIH. The verdict has been in for years.

Masks are for compliance and to create infighting among the public. Its a scam and even those on the right comply. If you dont think so, ask yourself why you wear one. Its because life is easier to just do what you are told and not cause ripples. Its easier to just put it on and get through the day then it would be to argue and push back. Thats why. You have conformed. Mission accomplished. Its sad. Its disgraceful, its disgusting.

The great thing about freedom of choice (at least so far) is that people are able to decide whether they want to wear masks, or any other personal protective equipment
No they can’t in a lot of states because women and dumbfucks like you use emotion to make decisions and now it is quasi law that everyone has to wear face diaper incubators

So as I said I decided to start wearing a mask when we were told absolutely not to and have continued that policy. Was I a rebel then and now a disgusting conformist because I didn’t stop later? That’s a pretty big stretch.

It’s not virtuous to do what the whole world is doing to contribute in slowing the spread, especially something so harmless and minor. Wether or not it works is much less important than the intentions behind it.

No clue how this topic became so partisan and heated.

This one statement tells everything. THAT line of thought is why it is so contentious - give up freedoms in the future (which is what this is about) for the collective, which is more important than the intentions behind the action.

This is why it is so partisan. Plus you humbly called yourself out as the best example of socialist conformity in your first post. And because your idea of poetry is terrible.

I consider myself a free market capitalist, so I understand the value of investor speculation. I'm just hopeful that in this case this particular investor is making the wrong bet and loses his ass. Much like those "preban" magazine buyers when the market collapsed in 2004. I hope that, in the absence of restrictive regulations, his 400 magazines are for sale dirt cheap next year.

^^^this man knows fried chicken, also a bonus if they have cracklins
i want chicken livers.

where i live, you can judge the quality of the fried chicken on the thickness of the plexiglass protecting the cashier and cooking area.
if the plexi is 3/4" or thicker, the chicken behind it is fucking good.

Sounds plausible! Do you measure with a ruler, or just mil it from the parking lot?

Hi,

You people and your chicken eating.
Let me know when you all can afford to eat buffalo wings and I may join you all for breakfast.
Time to go visit my friend Don Jr and get some of those Trex ribs he has in the smoker.

Sincerely,
Theis
