Youtubers to watch

I can’t even get into cortina. He talks too damn much

Now he’s into sharing his personal life.

I don’t care.
He does talk too much ok? Ok so what I try to do is to skip through the crap ok? He's got some really good information ok? Ok so, Ok, I ran out of things to say OK?

The reloading stuff on his patreon is worth watching, as is the barrel cleaning video with Speedy.

If you like suppressors I post decent shit.

We will soon have some recoil info soon. Finally got the accelerometer working the way we want it to. Working on some back pressure stuff for gas guns too.
Ray, I’m really really looking forward to this info. Brake vs Ultra vs DOMINUS vs 338 for recoil. Duration of recoil pulse and force. Also back pressure should be super interesting as well. Just shot my SCAR 17 with a SiCo Omega and the back gas was terrible, especially since I shoot LH. Hoping the DOMINUS I have on order will be superior to it.

Skip YouTube. VP precision on podbean (or whatever) has some excellent information from two of the best PRS and NRL shooters.

While I enjoy listening to that podcast from time to time, I get pretty tired of hearing annoying analogies such as "that rifle just HaMmErS!!!". When did such an unprecise tool such as a hammer become synonymous with precision rifles? I don't get it.

I can also only listen to so many match recaps, I stopped caring about hearing someone talk about a match. The fun part about a match is being there and shooting it, not listening to someone talk about it. It's a bit self indulgent.

MarkAndSam AfterWork. Lot of ELR stuff, not a whole bunch of filler, its usually either gunfire or the reasoning behind why he does it how he does it. He and his wife in a shooter/spotter combo have hits out to 4000yds, maybe further.

2 pages in and nobody has mentioned any of the greatest YouTube channels there is

In no particular order of awesome sauce

Demolition Ranch- just so much awesome packed into each episode, Matt truly produces these like he is going to be picked up like the next reality TV 🌟 A+ for effort Matt!

Lunkers TV - I mean he was in the marines and got a kill or two, so he definitely knows whats up with the best gear.
(Just kidding lunkers is a faggot)

And of course the grand daddy of them all for truly unbiased no shilling product reviews.

The king of sniper 101.....
The original gangsta ...

tibasouraus Rex ! - wealth of knowledge (as long as he has his manual from the army nearby)
And totally unbiased "professional" reviews of "affordable" optics that are just as good as Alpha glass....probably.....

As long as the Truth stick says so

I have to put a plug in for “Hunting with Stu”. An Australian pig hunter that is fun to watch. Can drop running hogs at 100 yards with basic gear. Lever action 12Ga, Win 94 30-30, and Ruger 77 in 06. Beat to shit grear but effective. Best line when he kayaked up to a sleeping hog along the side of the creek, “hey pig, how’s your day, bam....”. Shots off running ATVs on running hogs are great.

Here are the main gun related channels I watch.

Anvil-Mark Novak- Older gun restos and repair. My favorite show.
In Range- lots of antique fire arms and shooting.
SHLowlite- Decent vids on marksmanship. Doesn't post very often. I think he owns a precision rifle forum or something?
Vickers Tactical- Lots of reviews and shooting
UR-Gavin- Reloading equipment. Kind of a whip to watch but if you want to see the latest and greatest equipment its good for that.
6.5 Guys- not sure what happened to them? have not posted in over a year, but their vids are great.
8541 tact- Gun & product reviews. very long winded as others have said. But seems like a great dude and has good info.
Panhandle Precision- good info on equipment and how to's.
Eric Cortina- Just started watching his stuff. might be a reloading Savant.

The majority of them are simps that work for a marketing agency called leviathan tribe or something lame like that, and if they aren’t on the roster they act like they’re trying to get on it.

The only one they kinda surprised me was Mr.GnG, and even then kinda would expect that, most of the other popular on there, that I watch or have watched, came off as shills for stuff after they got big, assuming once this marketing company approached them. Garand Thumb is usually upfront about his shilling though.

Also Johnny's Reloading Bench is usually worth a watch. Nothing groundbreaking as far as methods go, its neat to see the combinations he'll go through, and the accuraccy he squeezes from some factory rifles. A few T/C compasses that have gotten into the .4s, and a few others he hits a pretty decent groups with.

It's blatantly obvious to me, and I suspect most of us that the big channels have become salesmen over the years.
Does this bother me, not really...

As long as they promote good products, why shouldn't they get paid for their time and work?

If a big or small channel supports a bad product, then don't sub to them or watch them, it's that simple.

The truth is it cost these people real time and real money many times to bring you free content to complain about...

Hi,

IMO the truth is that if they were all out of their own money, etc etc as they would like people to think; they would have no problem complying with FCC endorsement regulations.

There is absolutely a reason you do not see them complying with the regulations...because it would do exactly what the regulations are supposed to do....make it crystal clear what is a review and what is a paid for advertisement. Paid advertisements do not promote their brand of being a "reviewer".

I know what some of these "reviewers" charge to put a companies product on their channels because they have approached me with the "O I have x amount of followers, y amount of views per episode, z amount of shares, etc etc; it would be a great investment for your companies".

Sincerely,
Theis

Guys if your interested in long range hunting and varminting my channel (260rips) maybe of interest. I’m from England and do a lot of fox control and varminting using a 223 and 260 rem 👍

Great videos, have been a fan and subscriber for a while now

I watch Youtube gun channels for 2 different reasons: 1) Information and 2) entertainment. The only one I watch that hasn't already been mentioned is Small Arms Solutions for information (primarily pistols and gas rifles). Don't expect any info on bolt guns there.

Probably whoever has an "only fans" site. Usually more direct content on those. No pulling videos because they are "against company policy".

This is important if you go to youtube looking for information. But who does that?

I just go there for entertainment.

There is not any readily available training in Wisconsin.
But this year I have purchased an AIX rifle from Mile High and mounted a Spuhr mount with scope and outfitted my rifle successfully by watching X-Ring.
Using his bore sighting simple method, I was about 3” off on my first shot at 25yds.
One shot at 25 and right out to 100.
Easy peasy from then on.
Bags, brakes, suppressors and the list goes on.
Best YouTube site for PRS.
Dark Lord of Optics.

He's long winded but Richard Utting seems legit.

Is this sarcasm? Please tell me this is sarcasm. Those guys are puds

Not sure what puds mean...

No, not sarcasm from me. Their products reflect high quality and their political action in Tennessee is noteworthy. Not sure what all the hate they get is for, besides that the CEO might want to hit the weights...

Oh i love their products, but were talking about youtube channels here, all I see on there is the classic dude with gucci gear prancing around acting like an operator. When it comes to quality video material, be it educational or just informative entertainment, I'd rate them very low.

@Yaremkiv

Ehh, I’m the basic civilian that believes we should be training in a variety of gear including full kit. If you have the resources, nothing wrong with gucci kit. Tons of folks on here sporting a 5k bolt rifle with 3k optics shooting their local NRL22 match.

I find the drills and fundamentals to be educational, along with their podcasts.

Anyone under the Leviathan Tribe banner can eat a dick with one exception....Jerry Miculek.

Jerry was grinding on the exhibition circuit with real skill and is one of the old-school dudes that deserves to get paid way more than any "content creator" or "influencer". Free pass, Jerry...cash that check!

Again, sorry to all you flannel fanboys but he can pound sand as well... PS the man crush stuff is just too weird.

I watch a lot of YouTube but these are the ones I really enjoy. I consider all of their thoughts to be opinions still and they are in order of who I believe the most.

Im surprised nobody has mentioned Travis Haley yet... not so much long range oriented but definitely good pistol/carbine videos.

Whatchu talkin bout?...that Magpul Dynamics precision DVD was comedic gold. I dig the AK negligent discharge as well.

He and Costa have been oddly quiet for a while given that they were the ones that helped spark the training/flashy content creation movement.

I got no personal beef with the dude, but I know some of his industry peers that do and unfortunately, the only ones I know are to polite to go into detail. Also know a cat who was hanging on TH's nuts and became an AI and took a pretty decent job for Haley Strategic. I think he held that spot for a few months before bouncing back across the country to take another position. Haven't heard him mention the word Haley ever since. I always found that odd.

Youtube personalities blur way too close to cult of personality. I can't think of hardly any person whose existence revolves around youtube content production that can be counted on to be anything more than cheap entertainment. While its a necessary evil, those who live and die by youtube or instagram should be taken with a grain of salt.
