Does a government get more power during a “pandemic“? No, they don’t. So how are mayors and governors making Law? What’s the appellate process for these determinations? What is our recourse?
The government has no rights or powers which don’t come from consent. None of these offices have been empowered to make law.
What about the precedent of natural law. I can’t tell you, my neighbor, to wear a mask or to close his business. So how do I gather ten more men, call ourselves a government, and now magically gather powers we didn’t have individually? By force of numbers?
What will the basis of your opposition to local government be, if not the Constitution? Emotional pleas, threats, an appeal to common good, what will stand in the place of the Law of the Land?
We impeached our mayor here in Norman, OK petition signed by 22500 people, town only has a 100k people. She won her last election with 5000 votes. She isn’t gone, won’t be for months. We also impeached like three city council members. Police are still defunded and mask “mandates” are still in place. What now? Ask super nice? How’s that work with a tyrant?
