i am just saying that we should be careful how much power we are willing to give the government in the name of "public safety".
extreme or strawman? maybe.

i've never been an anti-vax type, and my daughter was given hers as was required (i believe) for public school enrollment, and hell, you take the kid in when the doctor sets up the appointment. i will only advise on early vaccination.
but forcing every american to get injected with something to protect us from something they have been misleading people about?
it's just a mask
it's just your church.
it's just a shot.

Well, it was a novel virus at the time and information regarding its transmission was limited. They were updating the public with what was thought to be the correct information. As time elapsed and more information was obtained their position changed. That explanation could be complete bs, who knows.

Here's the problem that I foresee. Was watching something on Fox or MSN the other day and a brief discussion of the virus rollout. While it may not be required to take you may not be able to find a job or continue working at the one you have if you don't.

I'm just as curious , especially about the legal ramifications if a employer forces an employee to take something that no one will know if it has any longterm effects ??
 
It'll be just like the mask issue. No mask no entry. All supported by the mayors of all the towns that make it mandatory for businesses that want to stay open that they require all employees to have vaccines. Failure to require vaccines means you get fined and possibly shut down

Then, when the lawsuits come in, the judges will rule that it's okay. Your choice, you don't have to work there. You can go find another job that doesn't require vaccines.

Meanwhile people die from things other than covid because they cant get medical treatment due to fears over spreading the virus.
Had a close friend die 2 weeks ago from a recurrence of leukemia because his monthly check ups were cancelled, all because it was feared that he MIGHT contract the virus.
I have another friend that will die in the near future from colon cancer because his surgery to remove the tumor was cancelled last week at the last minute due to a sudden "outbreak" of corona cases.
Dimocrat Mayor of the county seat town just imposed new mask mandates effective 10/31 requiring masks to be work in all public places or be fined up $100. Business owners that dont require masks in their places of business may have their licenses revoked.Even went so far as to authorize a special mask enforcement detail within the city PD to force compliance yet claims his actions weren't politically motivated. Says that since there has been 26 deaths in the county since April and 200 new cases reported in the last month he feels it's time to move to the next level in order to protect the city and prevent the spread of the virus.
26 out of nearly 23,000 residents of the county have died with covid 19 since April. Meanwhile they're dying right and left from cancer, heart attacks, diabetes, ect. because they cant get medical treatment.

Wearing a face covering and injecting something into your body have very different consequences. I agree the same approach will be used but I can't see the courts upholding it.

Isn’t it weird how the CDC changed their comments on when/where/why to wear a mask mid stream? Seems strange to me that a government entity that’s supposed to be this great center changes horses mid stream. This would make one think that maybe that don’t know what their talking about.
 
The CDC, who, Fauci, numerous hospitals all at one time or another have claimed that masks don't work, the covid-19 birds are wrong and it's not near as Dudley is originally thought. Does this get picked up on by the major networks absolutely not.

Since most people want information spoon fed to them in an easily digestible Manor, most won't go do their own research to find the facts. All part of the indoctrination of our educational system

If worn too long they can be harbingers of bacteria, viral particles and other possible pathogens. I also don't get why people keep wearing the same mask (without cleaning) not understanding they could possibly make themselves sick. A disposable mask is meant to be disposed of not reused. Cloth masks need washed.
It would be akin to using the same damn kleenex everytime.

This. You hopefully were planning on washing the clothes you left the house in. Tossing the cloth mask in with them should be common sense.

Was at a local gas station and had an encounter with a young boy and his mother, both wearing masks.
Stepped up in line behind them at the counter.
Little boy asks me why I didn't have a mask.
Wasn't sure of what he said, Mother says to him they have the right to not wear a mask.
She walked out with three packs of Newports.

In all seriousness, I know exactly what it's like to not have decent food for a couple hundred miles. That's why I used to carry with me one of those portable propane grills and I cooked everything myself.

So, I go to my closest local club which only has a 100 yard range. Its mid-week and I'm the only person there on a range with 10 shooting benches.

I set up near the middle and walk out to put up my targets. When I come back, someone else had arrived....and out of 10 fucking positions he has to sit down at the one next to me.

Now please understand that this club, IAW with our communist fucking country government, makes noises about requiring the wearing a mask on the ranges. But I won't shoot with a mask on and with two of us, with 10 benches, we could have easily been 60 feet or more apart. That, and I have seen most of the major movers and shakers in this club NOT wear a fucking mask and if we can maintain some degree of separation, neither do most of the shooters.

I generally just tell people that I'm not wearing a mask and if we can stay kind of separate (its at least 6 feet between benches) and pretty much everybody has said, "no problem...I don't wear one either"

So, fuck wad has to set up right next to me and I said to him as I'm walking back "I'm not wearing a mask, if that bothers you then maybe you can set up at another bench".

He comes back with shit about being an RSO (half the fucking club, incl me, are RSOs) and mumbles something about requiring a mask, that we have cameras recording on the range (which I fucking know...I've been a member for close to 30 years) and some shit about not opening my mouth to an RSO.

Then the motherfucker sits down at his gun, pulls his fucking mask down below his chin, and proceeds to shoot.

I just packed up my shit and left...just didn't want to be anywhere near this jerk-off.

So, my problem is not with masks per se. I kind of lay out my view of all of this in this post, above.
