He is truly beautiful. We had a rough collie (named Ruff) when I was a kid. He was a wonderful dog.

Thx man. Likewise, we grew up with collies all through my highschool years.

He's ironically a rescue, and we had some dicey moments in the first 12-14 months, but he turned the corner around year 2 and turned into quite the people's collie:

After losing my Chocolate lab early this year, we bought a female Bernedoodle (Bernese Mountain Dog and Poodle) and she's 9 months old that's gone into her first season. It's been a hundred years since we owned a female dog and I've gotta say, this little she-devil bleeds like a stuck pig.

We had a another thread where I asked for help naming the dog. Her name is Oakley. Right now is not a good time to take a picture, at 9 months, they recommend shaving the dog to help the adult coat come in more evenly, but I'll include a picture from a few months ago.

They technically forgot to shave the "ball of fluff" at the end of the tail, with that, it would have been 100% legit.

8 years ago, my dad picked up this pooch at the rescue and named him "Bud". Bud has been a great defender of the homestead for mom and dad and is the first dog my mom ever got close to. Bud loves to go on walks around the neighborhood in hopes of finding a cat to harass.

Tomorrow my Lilly leaves us.

She was a new pup when I got home from Afghanistan in 2008. On my way home the helicopter i was in crashed on the way to Kabul. That forever changed the lives of those around me but it also affected me greatly. But my Lilly kept me distracted while I came to terms with my new normal and soon she was making me realize things would get better.

Anyways, tomorrow my Lilly is going to a better place. Hardest thing I will probably ever have to do and also the scariest.

Sorry you have to go through that. Your Hide brothers and sisters are here for you.

Yes I have posted this before.

Now on a happier note recently my wife pulled out her iPad and pulled up videos of house flies, fish, red dots and other things moving across the screen. Daisy kept trying to get them with her paws or bite them. She even tried to bite them off around the iPad bezel where she thought they were. She watches screens. She will also bark and try to meet and say hi to dogs in movies or TV shows. For some reason she likes to bark at horses on the TV. She has never seen one before in real life.

Her in her cow ears for Halloween.

Two of the roughest, toughest girls on the planet (not kidding.)

And their goofy brothers.
So, our two boys are older than the two girls. The heeler is oldest, about 6, and he is completely useless with livestock, but an amazing family pal. The boy kelpie is also a great family dog, but also an unbelievable worker. He is, however, completely anti-social with outsiders, though not actually aggressive. He's a little autistic. We find him sitting next to the ATV in blizzard conditions just praying for somebody to be as devoted as him and to make it move.

The older girl is a Decker terrier. She is a perfect dog, really. Loves everybody, kills absolutely every pest in the area. Good with dogs, great with people. Our baby girl is also a kelpie, and the half sister of the boy kelpie (actually 3/4 sister.). They couldn't be more different. Where he is smart and sensitive, she is a bull in a china shop. Also a great worker, but no finesse whatsoever. Temperament of a lab, never met a person she doesn't love. Has absolutely no personal dignity, no hygiene. We adore her. The two girls sleep intertwined as in the picture. I think the little kelpie is convinced the terrier is her mom.

My Pudelpointer Max from 2007. We chased a lot of chukars and huns together and he was a fantastic retriever, on land and water, and an amazing frisbee dog. Lost him to lymphoma at 10, which is what has almost gotten me. Gone but not forgotten.

I tried not to even make eye contact with him. But then it played on my mind that he looks like just enough Pit that he'd end up getting a needle before he got adopted if I didn't take him. And that, I could not abide. He's a handful, but he's been one of the best I've had.
Hell yes. Heckin handsome fella.
