Sorry for the crap picture but here is my new setup. Haven’t shot it yet. Just had in bore sighted. But will be throwing factory federal terminal ascent 200gr rounds down range. This is my hunting/distance rig. Will be shooting 700 yards. Might try 1000 if I can find a spot.

Just a cylindrical brake that he blended in. Not sure of the brand. I have a PVA jet blast on the way.

if you look up Pederson precision Llc on Facebook you can see Matt take the brake off prior to the cerakote. No seam. It’s absolutely beautiful.

I just really like the 'clean' look it gives. Almost looks like it was machined from the blank.

Very nice work! Similar to a rifle I built last year, a 7mm-08 on a Mauser action. I made the brake to match the barrel taper, then Cerakote.

It looks like old school shotgun barrel porting rather than a muzzle brake.

also I don’t know how you ca tell it’s not on the recoil lug my just looking at the original picture

I just double checked. Reinstalled per the instructions. Rifle verticals pull down to make sure it’s against the lug. And it didn’t budge.

so how can you tell from a picture that far away it wasn’t against the lug?

the action doesnt look parallel to the chassis to me either

as if the slot in the action is sitting on top of the lug that's in the chassis.
