I just got my email notifications for .22lr from Target Sports.

I rushed to order but noticed the price is insane. At least from my perspective.

SK as much as Center X or more and Center X where Midas was a few months ago.

I passed because I have "enough" for now. Wondering if I'll regret it not buying in a few months?

I know some of you guys got the same notifications. Did any of you buy?

So is it Target Sports or Lapua making the change?

Good question. I don't know. But as an ardent supporter of capitalism I don't fault Target Sports for getting market value for the products they sell. I don't like it as a consumer but it is what it is. And I tend to try to prepare for the future when I can. As in I have probably 10 bricks of various .22lr of superior quality. I bought my last two bricks of Center X and Midas from MHSS a few weeks ago and their prices had increased a little bit. Not to this degree though.

Thanks for the heads-up, got one brick. My Vudoo won't be until March/April but it seems they prefer Lapua/SK ammo so I'll get some to start testing with.

IMO ammo has always been the most expensive part of shooting. No matter how much you have spent on a gun, at some point your ammo costs will pass the price/investment of the gun. You just need to decide for yourself what is too much. Sometimes I laugh to myself after people mention spending $2000 on a rifle, $2000 on an optic and another $500 on accessories, then gripe about an extra .05 a round. Personally, I have a pretty good stash that should last me at least a year. But I don't know if $2-$3 per box would be enough to keep me from shooting. Maybe just don't shoot as much. If and when this goes back to normal, just remember the retailors that jacked up the prices.

I remember Center X being $10-box give or take, years ago. Spiked past $11 in last rimfire shortage, stayed there. Now going to $13- 14, life in the shooters world. Just glad I can still get some and still shoot - moving forward we'll see what Joe an da Hoe have up their sleeve.

I still look at SK LR and RM, (ordered 2k of RM from grafs today) sure the center X is pricier and i do get some when I can and when it's available but don't shoot it unless I'm at a nrl22 match... lately tho, been shooting SKLR at Rimfire PRS matches...and practicing with SK SP....

But yeah, at .28 per round it's Lil bit steep....

CX has been €0.28 in Finland for very long time now. Of course we have 24% sales tax and probably freaking 50% higher employee rates (and that extra 50% goes to taxes)

And guess what? Our €0.28 converts to $0.34.

Factories are running in Europe, so just stay cool and wait for the market to stabilize.

No wonder Lapua raised prices, for example over here in Finland the lunch price rises 2% annually (salaries slowly behind) so it only makes sense Lapua in Germany catches up.
    Inflation is real.

Even the SK was pricey. That's what I originally wanted because it was cheaper. But when I clicked on it, it was as much as CX and Midas used to be. Then I checked the CX and was a bit surprised. Which was surprising as I should've known better. 😁
